"Hey, hey, Emily. Wake up",Jacob shook Emily awake. She fell asleep over her desk after the events of lunch. She looked down at what she was doing. She was in the middle of drawing the sherif station. "Hey Emily, i'll finish the backgrounds for you. Don't worry", said Jacob.
"Thanks", Emily responded. As everyone filed out, she noticed that Wally was walking around. She looked over in her trash can and saw a pair of keys. He lost them again. She grabbed them and got up from her chair. "You lost your keys again didn't you", she asked him.
"Yea. Mr. Lawrence won't be happy about this. Have you seen them?"
"Here you go", she said as she handed him his keys."
"Oh my god. Thank you", he said. "How 'bout I walk you to your car. Don't want you falling asleep on your way", Wally offered.
"Ok, thanks." As they walked outside, they felt the warm breeze on their faces. They looked up at the starry night sky. They shimmered through the smoke of the nearby factories,
making the world seem better.
"Hey I was, uh, wondering if ya wanted to, well um, go to dinner with me one night?" Wally asked. Emily was taken back a bit by this. Did Wally like her? Sure he was funny, smart, kind, entertaining.......She liked him! Her and Sammy have always been great friends, she even once had a crush on him. Even though she has moved on from that, she was unsure about this.
Why not give it a shot?
"Sure that be wonderful", she said with a smile.
"Really? Great, uh, see ya later then."
"Ok see ya later."
