Katatapos lang OR ko ng lumabas na ako. I was already ready to go home after staying for three hours more just to make sure my patient's stable when I saw Claire, ex ni Ibarra.

Come on, Ja. She is the woman Carlo loves.

" Doctora Boromeo" She started. Seems like she wants to talk.

Huminga ako ng malalim bago muling nagsalita.

" I'm about to go home. Looks like you too are to go home" I said. Come on Ja.

" Oo nga e. But if it's okay with you. Can we have coffee. I just want to talk to you." It's her voice that made me realize how the fuck am I doing. Paano namin nagawang saktan ang doctor na 'to? She is a doctor but still a woman. Babae din siya at nasasaktan. Umusbong ang kakaibang sakit sa puso ko para sa kaniya. Never in my life that I've felt like I am the other woman. Sanay akong ako ang legal at orihinal.

" Coffee then" I casually smiled.

Pumunta kami sa hospital canteen. There is this hotel type hospital's mini restaurant for those who could afford the prize. Pareho kaming nag-order, at sabay na umupo. I honestly don't know what to say or how to start a conversation with her knowing that we both had something with the same man. Shit! That sounded not right.

" I honestly want to talk about Carlo, Dra. Boromeo" She addressed me correctly.

" Sa katunayan, noon pa kita gustong kausapin. But I do not have enough courage to. Ang totoo kase niyan, nasaktan talaga ako. He broke up with me, Dra. Boromeo. Tinanong ko naman siya kung bakit siya nakikipaghiwalay sa akin. All he said was that he was sorry and he cannot hurt me anymore but truth is, he is hurting me still. Until now, he is hurting me. I was expecting him to tell me a deeper reason why he wants to break up with me. Ang sabi niya sa akin, ikaw daw ang dahilan. Gusto ko lang sanang tanungin sa 'yo kung bakit. Why Janine? You know he is in a relationship with me pero bakit?" She asked. In front of me is a woman hurting. A woman who deserves an explanation. A woman who deserves a reason. A four months late reason.

I composed myself before speaking. This is going to be a long story of explanation.

" Christmas ball, the party attended by everyone. The biggest party of the hospital. Every doctor was there. I was with Wade, my boyfriend that time and I believe you were with Carlo that time too. I drank too much liquor. Wade had an emergency and went home ahead of time. Family affairs, that was he said. I wasn't in the mood to go home yet that's why I stayed. Few hours passed, I found myself hooked up into liquor, lots of it. I wasn't able to count the shots but I know I am already on it. Two hours again after I just found myself kissing a doctor. His perfume was so fragrant. His kisses were so alluring. It was just so good. By that time, I already knew I wasn't kissing my boyfriend. I cannot reason out that it was because of alcohol because I know it wasn't. Ginusto ko iyon. Before I totally have given myself up to him, I already knew he was the neurosurgeon everybody talks about. Then after that night, I've woken up the next morning right beside him. He offered me marriage right at that moment. Parang pareho pa kaming lasing. And there I was, just because of a mind blowing sex, I agreed. We got married. But just the other day, I found out that I wasn't really married to him. The paper we signed wasn't registered. And right now, I am fixing it between us. I'm sorry. Alam kong hindi mo ako mapapatawad dahil dito. I will accept it if you say that you won't ever forgive me at all. I deserve it anyway. But don't worry, I'll end everything between us this day." I explained. The last sentence I said was really total bullshit. Sinabi ko iyun na para bang ang dali dali lang gawin.
