05. Power and Potential in Perfect Purpose

13For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure. Philippians 2:13, AMP

Every product manufactured has the ability to fulfil the purpose for which it was made. In case a product fails to deliver on its intended purpose, it would be considered a failure and in most cases, it would either be sent back for correction on its areas of fault or it would simply get done away with.

Well, it is different with God. He didn't create you as a failure. Rather, He created you with the potential and capacity to fulfil His purposes for your life. All that is for you is within you. Whatever you would ever need for the pursuit and fulfilment of your life purpose is packed along the purpose path of your life. Your life purpose is a mine packaged with all the valuable minerals you would need to make an impact with your life. It's a reservoir filled with everything you need to make a meaningful contribution to life. All that is needed from your part is for you to unpack the package of your life purpose so you can live a life of meaning and maximum impact as you pursue your life purpose with greater passion and unwavering perseverance.

It is worth noting that since God has packaged within you all that you would need for the pursuit of your life purpose, when your life fails to deliver on God's purposes for you, the possibility is that you may be skewed in purpose; that you may have diverted from God's order and process of pursuing His perfect purpose for your life.

Yes, God created you with the right potential for His purposes which allows for you to deliver on His purposes for your life. When such potential is undermined or abused, your life would begin to malfunction and as such fail you with regards to delivering on God's purposes for your life.

Several times, you may be faced with the threats of unbelief, doubt, fear, despondency or other negative tendencies of this life. However, you should resist such temptation because once you allow those threats to cloud your potential, it would be hard for you to deliver on God's purpose for your life because your life won't be in tune with the provisions of God's purposes.

Even in that state, God does not do away with you. He takes you in and when you allow Him, He works you out and strengthens you to deliver on His purposes for your life.

God loves you so much to do away with you. As such He corrects you, fixes you and prunes you so you can become a better you that can work on your potential to deliver on His purposes for your life. Yes, God's great intention is to bless you and to bless the world through His purposes for your life.

You must understand that no product is ever created for failure. Every product is created with potential to succeed at fulfilling its purpose. Your progressive successes at what God has called you to do are part of the process of fulfilling God's purposes for your life. God did not create you a failure but a success. He wired within you the potential to succeed. This in the form of your natural and spiritual gifts which are effected by the Holy Spirit living within me.

Personally, part of my natural gifts is intellectual ability which makes me successful in intellectual creativity, academic prowess, vocational skilfulness, etc. These are what I can and do use in being a blessing in life-both to myself and to others. I am not a failure because there is no seed of failure in me. I would fail only when I fail to make use of the gifts God has given me-spiritual or natural-to be a blessing and not a burden to myself or others. I would fail God when I fail to make use of His gifts to live the life He has called me to live as a way of fulfilling His purpose and manifest His ministry for my life.

Even so, a purpose without power is as useless as power without a purpose. God knew that, that's why He not only created you with a purpose but He also made available the power that you need to realize His purposes for your life in this life.
