Chapter 5:
3rd P.O.V~
----------------
They finally arrived at Chaeyoung's house. Mina re-wrapped and re-newed the badges of Chaeyoung's wounds. Until now, Chaeyoung is still shocked at how Mina is 'caring' for her. Can she still use that word after what happened? Not only Chaeyoung but Mina is shocked as well. She still can't believe she's helping the person she hates the most. But can she still say hate? Her heart aches and beats rapidly when near Son Chaeyoung. Does it mean that her feelings for Chaeyoung are still there? Does it still mean that she hates Chaeyoung? Or are we just all not knowing the full story?"Let's talk now." Mina said after Chaeyoung took pain killers to lessen the pain she's feeling. But it can never lessen the pain of Mina leaving her. Chaeyoung shakes her head to forget that moment but her head starts aching but Mina doesn't notice. Too busy thinking about this moment.
Mina sat next to Chaeyoung on the edge of Chaeyoung's bed. Chaeyoung is fidgeting along with Mina. They don't know where to start. Chaeyoung wants to speak again but she's afraid that she'll hurt Mina. Mina is just afraid to know the truth. If her and Chaeyoung really were together, what happened to her memories then? Did she get into an accident that she doesn't remember? If she did, wouldn't Chaeyoung still try to win her back? But isn't that what Chaeyoung is doing now? Why now? Why not a year ago?
Questions filled both of their minds. Worry was visual on both of their faces. They both kept taking glances at each other. Mina was so confident earlier, what happened?
"I miss you..." Chaeyoung said quietly but loud enough for Mina to hear. Mina looked at her and scoffed. "Isn't it obvious that you do?" Mina said and relaxed a bit more. 'Why do I sound so rude? I'm trying to be nice here!' Mina scolded herself.
Chaeyoung scooted farther away from Mina because she's afraid that Mina will just reject her all over again. But she grows confident because she needs Mina. Mina needs her. But does she really? I mean, Mina has been fine ever since that day. She didn't seem to need Chaeyoung anymore. But Chaeyoung can't bear the thought of not being with Mina anymore. She needs her comfort, she wants to hear her soothing angelic voice everyday, feel her touch, feel Mina's lips upon her lips, but she can't do that anymore.
Mina sighs. "I..... I didn't mean to sound rude Chaeyoung. I'm just..." Mina lays back but her hands are supporting her from falling. "I'm just afraid...." Mina said while looking at her lap. Afraid to meet Chaeyoung's eyes.
Chaeyoung looked at Mina, confused. "Afraid of what?" She questioned. "Afraid that we were actually together. I don't know the full story yet. All I know is that we were together and happy but now, we're not even together anymore and I hate you. But yet, you still seem to love me after what I've been to you..." Mina scooted closer to Chaeyoung. "Why?" Mina questioned Chaeyoung. That's all she wanted to ask. Why does Chaeyoung still love her after what happened between the both of them?
"Because my heart never left you Mina. My mind never left the thought of you walking out that door, never loving me ever again." Chaeyoung looked at Mina's hand that's now on Mina's lap. Chaeyoung took another breather and looked into Mina's eyes.
"I never wanted you to leave me. You were the girl I was gonna marry... You made me speak again, you made me who I am after my parents died. You brought me light." Chaeyoung had the confidence to hold Mina's hand. Chaeyoung placed Mina's hand on her beating heart.
"This heart will always beat for you. Whether or not you love me. I want you back, but yeah, you hate me. But let me teach you to love me again..." Chaeyoung begged. Mina was in shock and tears were threatening to fall. She could feel Chaeyoung's heart beating rapidly. 'Is her heart beating this fast because of me?' Mina questioned herself.
Mina swallowed the invisible gulp to nerve down her nervousness. "But why did we break up?" Mina questioned. Chaeyoung looked away, afraid to speak about that moment to the girl she loved. But she had to let Mina know in order to win her heart again.
"You went studying with this guy and came back late to our I mean your house. I questioned you and you told me his name... We had a huge argument about it and I told you to stop loving me... And then you left..." Chaeyoung explained to Mina. Mina understood but didn't get it.
"Wait, if you told me to stop loving you, wouldn't I fight back?" Mina questioned her actions.
Chaeyoung sighed. "My words are literal. If I say something, it becomes real. That's why I never spoke a word ever since but you came. My savior, my angel, my love..." Chaeyoung drifted off. Feeling the warmth that's radiating off of Mina's hand. Mina didn't believe it but her heart said otherwise. It's like her heart knew Chaeyoung. Knew the love Chaeyoung gave to her, knew all of the memories, knew the warmth of Chaeyoung, just not her mind or herself.
"Then teach me." Mina leaned closer towards Chaeyoung and Chaeyoung stood still. "Teach you what?" Chaeyoung questioned Mina, trying hard not to look down at her lips but failed.
"Teach me how to love you..." Mina whispered, they were inches away from their lips touching. "Remind me of the butterflies I once felt, remind me of our happy and sad memories, remind me of our love, remind me of us... I hate you so much but yet my heart says otherwise..." They were centimeters away from kissing. Chaeyoung didn't want to waste this opportunity.
"Let me show you then." Chaeyoung whispered out and captured Mina's lips.
