"Eri, come here," Aizawa said softly.

"Ok," she walked towards the now kneeling Aizawa.

"Why didn't you get me up when you couldn't sleep?" Aizawa had always had a harsh-sounding voice, but when speaking to the small, helpless child, his voice somehow became softer. He slowly lifted her up, holding her as he carried Eri down the stairs. The small girl trembled with fear that she was in trouble as she softly spoke.

"I.....I....I didn't want to wake you up." She responded, beginning to cry.
"No don't cry, you aren't in trouble. I just wished you had gotten me up." He said rubbing circles on her small back.
She nodded in response as they headed down to the kitchen and Aizawa sat her on the stool.
"What do you want to make for breakfast?" He said, smiling at her curiosity.
"You don't have to make me breakfast, I'm not really hungry anyway..." She responded, her face solemn.
"How about we make breakfast for Hitoshi?" He responded, trying to compromise. He knew Eri didn't want to trouble him, but he also knew she needed to eat. She was extremely malnourished. He also wanted to teach her to say no, though.
"Ok! I can help!" She responded, smiling.
"Do you want to make 'Toshi waffles?" He asked.
Eri's eyes lit up as she responded with, "Sure!"
Aizawa got out the supplies which included eggs, bacon, waffle mix, and milk. Eri helped him stir all the ingredients together in the bowl for the waffles while he cooked the eggs and bacon. Aizawa carefully poured the mix into the waffle machine and let them cook. Soon, Hitoshi was up and breakfast was ready!
"Good morning 'Toshi!" Eri sang as she sat down a cup of milk in front of where he would be sitting.
"Go' mornin'." A tired Shino said through a yawn.
"Eri made breakfast!" Aizawa said as Eri smiled joyfully.
"Really? Thanks, Eri!" Shinso responding while rubbing his eyes. She waited patiently for him to try it and when he did, he gave a thumbs up. She was overjoyed that he liked the food he made her.
"Would you like some Eri?" Shinso asked.
Eri contemplated it and eventually said, "Yes please!"
Aizawa didn't want to give her too much food because she might think that she needed to eat it all, and she could get sick. He gave her half a waffle and a piece of bacon with a little bit of eggs. You would never have seen a happier girl in the world.
