Part Two

It was Friday, you and Marcus had found a two bedroom apartment that had quite a big living room and kitchen area. The complex even came with a laundry room. You guys got the place and you instantly booked the first plane you could. The apartment was the best one you guys came across. You and Marcus had a plane booked for friday 12 pm. You said your goodbyes to your parents and they made sure you knew that they would constantly be calling you. You were already 20 and they were constantly making sure you were doing everything correctly. Marcus got an Uber to your house last night so he slept over. You both woke up at 4am and decided you'd stop in once place before you left La. you guys drove to downtown la and all the lights in the dark sky. The stars weren't visible for all the lights from the city overpowered them. You guys saw the time as it read 6 am and decided to go back. You showered and changed. You didn't want to wear anything to much you wanted to be comfy it was a 8 hour plane flight so you stuck with comfort over something cute. You wore this outfit.

you and Marcus rushed as it was already 8 am and you weren't at the airport yet. You guys got an Uber since none having a car and your parents being asleep since you woke them up so early to say goodbye. You guys rushed and got to the airport with quite a lot of time to spare. You say in the Starbucks while Marcus scrolled through his Instagram feed. You were on your laptop listening to jojis music while you were reading about what furniture shops were famous in New York since you both had none and just moved in. As soon as you got on the plane Marcus fell asleep on your shoulder and luckily you had the window so you took out your phone to take a picture before you fell asleep.

you woke up to the flight attendant tapping your seat as to let you know you've arrived. you close your Mac and put in into your backpack. You guys couldn't believe your eyes you were in a new state! You guys ran to find a taxi as you guys couldn't wait to find your new place. You both sat in the back seat and you put in an earbud and gave the other to Marcus again you listened to joji. You never got tired of listening to him. Once you guys arrived at your apartment you took out your phone and called the landlord. He came and gave you your keys. you guys ran to the elevator and once you got in you couldn't believe it. Marcus was holding in his screaming and you were too. as soon as you got out you saw your floor only had 10 apartments and yours was on the end. Marcus recorded you opening the door and you guys screamed. Your neighbor next door came out and you couldn't believe who it was. your eyes were open so wide and you couldn't believe who it was. You started blushing and he said "hi I'm George, we'll call me joji, you guys are the new neighbors I suppose" he said smiling while putting a beanie on. "I know who you are I love your music so much!" You said almost screaming he looked happy you said that "thanks it means so much." He said turning to lock his apartment. "I guess I'll be seeing you guys quite often then" he said smiling. "Yeah you will" I said opening the door. "Cool see you then and you never told me your names by the way.." "Oh I'm y/n and this is my best friend Marcus" You say. "nice to meet you guys see you around" he said walking into the elevator. You couldn't believe what just happened. You started screaming one you guys entered. Your guys moving truck would be here in a few days so you guys packed one luggage each with a few clothes. Your job was nice enough to lend you money to get new furniture for the house it was about $5,000. You guys searched up nearest ikea. And found one walking distance from here. You really just needed a bed for Marcus a kitchen table some chairs and a couch and maybe more later one. You guys arrived and bought a bunch of fake plants and ended up leaving with a grey couch and a blank dinning table and two chairs. And a bed for Marcus. You guys waited till the ikea guys arrived ordered a pizza. You were going to sleep on the couch until your bed and stuff got here from la.

You guys set up the kitchen and living room and tipped the ikea guys 50 dollars. they were a lot of help really. You guys didn't spend that much about $2,000 dollars in total. You still needed more stuff like plates and utilities and groceries and things. You guys decide to go to target but you wanted to chill in your new living room for a while

The decor was a bit extra but it's a nice touch to our new home. We decided we were full after all that pizza and we went to target to walk it off. We got bowls plates pot and pans and groceries. all about $500 dollars. We finally got home and we were exhausted. Marcus went to his room and the ikea men had done a good job as well with his room.

Marcus let me get the bigger room since I had more stuff.
It was about 7 pm and the sun was going down already. I layed on the couch as Marcus went to apply for a job at Starbucks. I heard a knock and the door and when I opened it there he was. He was so gorgeous. "Hey y/n , can I come in" he said "hi joji yes come in please make yourself at home" you said moving aside and inviting him into your home. "Where's your friend?" He asked raising a eyebrow. "Oh he went to look for a job" you looked at him he shook his head. "So um joji what did you need.?" You asked. "Oh just wanted to see how everything was going if you guys needed help or anything. This place looks great." He said "awe thank you so much ikea has the best furniture you know" you joked. He let out a light laugh. "Look y/n that's not what I wanted to ask. I came over to ask if you'd like to go out sometime, you seem like a really funny nice and pretty girl." You were speechless. "Um y/n did you hear me...?" He said waving his hand in front of your face. You laughed it off "um yeah I'd love too" you said "great are you available tomorrow" he said "yeah I am" you said "great I'll pick you up at 7?" "Yeah that works perfect" you said "awesome can I get your number?" He said . You have him your number and he left with a big grin on his face. This was going to be your first date in maybe 5 years and you had no idea what you were gonna do.
