Mephiles waited for a long time. His dark copies should have returned by now. That is unless they chose a different universe to look and probably ended up on some other planet like Namek or Tatooine. He opened his eyes and returned to his base form as Mephiles Rouge approached him.
"My lord, Iblis isn't in Universe 9. The entire population in the area is reduced to nothing but ashes, as if no one was ever there" she said as she crossed her arms. "But Tails and i managed to find this..." she pulled a purple Chaos Emerald out and shows it to Mephiles.
"Hmm... good job. Keep scouring the universe. Report any findings to me..." said Mephiles as he takes the emerald. Mephiles' Rouge and Tails nodded and flew away into a portal.
"Now Iblis... your flames will be extinguished by my hand... no matter how far you go, no one can stop me..." he said as he laughed in the distance.
