Silver walked home, still upset with himself that he couldn't save Blaze from the inevitable. As he opened the door, Shadow The Hedgehog was sitting on the couch. Silver knew Shadow doesn't like the usual "honey (or mom/ dad), I'm home" gig so he remained silent. Shadow glanced from the television.

"You're late" he grumbled as he brushed his quills back. Silver nodded and sighed. "Ill be upstairs..." He said as he made his way to the stairs.

"Why not tell your father why you are so sulk and like me..." said Shadow, getting up. When he used the term "Like Me", he meant depressed due to the fact that was his usual mood. Silver continued up the stairs. "That wasn't a question Silver..." he growled.

"Fine... its Blaze... i still cant shake that feeling about her being dead." growled Silver, wanting to put his fist through the wall all too badly. "So its like me then... depressed about a friend who sacrificed herself all those years ago..." said Shadow, trying to sound like he cared, and he did in fact.

"well mom's still alive... but shes a hedgehog like you and i dad..." said Silver, actually caring. Living with a father who constantly sounds like he doesn't care is hard, even for him. Shadow sighed. "Look kid, i may be your father, but i know when somethings wrong. Hey, if it's Blaze we're talking about, then your on your own if she wasn't our friend. I'd like to help if i can, but its your girlfriend. Then theres this..." he pointed to the television.

News Reporter: "... news in Green Hill zone show mysterious small fires, some say Iblis is making her return, while campers are forced to pack their things and leave. Theory's suggest that late Sol Princess Blaze The Cat's spirit haunts the zone, but the blast to the sign says otherwise, stay tuned for the full story..."

"Impossible! I-I saw her die!!" Exclaimed Silver, panicked because he doesn't believe that she's back. Shadow turned off the TV, and from under the table, he pulled out a tracking table. "From what I've heard, Blaze shoulda been somewhere right here. But her signal keeps disappearing. First its Eggman Land, then gone. Green Hill, then gone. Mystic Jungle, and you get the gist. Whatever's going on, there has got to be a reason behind her 'reality warping'. Either that or Infinite is messing with us again." Explained Shadow.  Silver looked in awe at what his father presented to him.

"Go to Green Hill, and sort this out. We cant be too careful if this is Blaze or not." said Shadow as he handed Silver a grey Chaos Emerald. "If this is true, don't hesitate to call for us." He said as Silver walked out the door.

"I will father... for all our sake" he said as he left. He looked up at the stars and sighed.

"Blaze... how are you alive...?" He asked himself silently as he walked into the night.
