After that, the friends continued reading the story, wondering what it would be like to actually go to Imagination Island.
"I'm using my imagination" Kali said.
"Me too" Teeders added.
"Oh, then something fun is bound to happen" Barney beamed. "Look..."
Suddenly, a shinning ball of light appeared out of the book then crashed into the closet.
"What's happening?" Kali asked.
Barney beamed. "I imagine it's something wonderful"
The closet doors then opened, revealing a staircase that led up to who knows where. Kali and Teeders both looked at each other with curiosity rising up in them.
"So, who wants to go first?" Barney asked.
"After you" Kali offered Teeders.
"Oh, no. Please, you first" Teeders politely insisted.
The two girls then smirked, turning towards their purple dinosaur friend. "After you, Barney"
"Oh, alright" Barney smiled then headed up the stairs. "Here I go"
The girls waited for a response from Barney to see what was up there when just then, they heard a ship's bell.
"Oh, boy!" Barney called. "You have got to see this!"
The two girls looked at each other.
"I'll go if you go" Kali told Teeders.
"Okay" Teeders said.
The two young girls held hands together then walked up the stairs. Once they reached the top they were surprised to discover that they were aboard a pirate ship and dressed in pirate clothes. The girls looked around with amazement as their ship was sailing across the ocean.
"Welcome aboard, YO-HO!" Barney said. "Are you ready for a sailing adventure?"
"Yes!" Both girls nodded eagerly.
Kali then touched her dress collar, only to realize she was still wearing her necklace.
"Oh! Right after I put my necklace back!" the spunky little adventure girl said.
Kali and Teeders rushed back downstairs to put her necklace away. But it turns out, her bedroom wasn't there anymore. The girls came back upstairs, with Barney waiting for their return.
"Welcome back" the purple dinosaur greeted them.
"I guess I'll just be very careful with my necklace" Kali said while holding onto it.
"Good idea" Barney replied. "Now, as long as our ship's at sea, let's see our ship!"
Barney and the girls took a tour around the ship as they started singing, having a fun time. And best of all, all their friends where here along for the ride. Including David, Cynthia, and even Baby Bop and BJ! The whole gang was all here now!
"So, Barney. What are we all doing here?" David asked.
"Well, thanks to Kali and Teeders, we're on a sailing adventure to find Imagination Island, where there are lots of great surprises" Barney explained.
"Wow! What kind of surprises, Barney?" BJ asked.
"Yeah!" The adventure kids asked, getting all excited now.
"Oh, well..." Barney tried his best to explain what they were going to see on the island. But the truth is, he wasn't so sure himself. "Oh, gee. I don't know" the purple dinosaur replied.
Everyone then laughed.
"We were reading a book about Imagination Island" Teeders explained to the others. "But we only got to the part that happened on the ship"
"I guess we'll all be surprised when we get there" Kali said.
"Ah... But the sun is shining, there's wind in our sails. And we'll get there before you know it!" Barney proclaimed.
But there was just one slight problem though...
"If somebody steers the ship!" Barney gasped.
Everyone turned to the ship's steering wheel to see that it was spinning out of control.
"Somebody do something!" Cynthia cried.
Baby Bop rushed over to the steering wheel. "Oh I've got it! I've got it!"
But unfortunately, Baby Bop was too small to handle the steering wheel and ended up spinning around and around with it.
"Yup, that's my little sister" BJ said.
David came over to help Baby Bop, taking care of the situation. "It's okay, Baby Bop. I've got it"
Cynthia then gave a box for Baby Bop to stand on.
"Oh, thank you" Baby Bop said, stepping up onto the box and then smiled. "Oh! Now I can see the ocean"
"And I can go way back up to the crow's nest and be the lookout" BJ said.
"What's a lookout?" Teeders asked.
"Well, that's uh, someone who looks for an island and then yells 'Look out!'" BJ replied.
A little while later, the gang was still traveling across the sea until BJ suddenly yelled out...
"Land-HO! I see Imagination Island!"
Everyone started cheering as they came up to the edge of the ship, seeing the island up ahead.
"There it is!" David pointed out.
"Stupendous! It won't be long now" Barney said.
Kali sighed. "That's a relief"
"What's a relief, Kali?" Barney asked.
"That we're getting to the island safe and sound" Kali replied, then looked to Teeders. "Remember the book, Teeders?"
"Oh, yeah. Now I remember" Teeders explained. "Just before everyone got to the island, there was a really, big..."
Suddenly, the gang heard thunder and looked up to see dark clouds quickly appear in the sky as it started to rain.
"STORM!"
The boat started rocking wildly back and forth, which wasn't good for Cynthia's sea sickness.
"Are we in trouble, Barney?" Cynthia asked, a bit worried and turning a little green.
"Oh, I'm sure everything is going to be just fine" Barney assured.
Baby Bop went away to hide. She didn't like storms or getting wet. The gang continued swaying aboard the ship while the storm seemed to get stronger.
"This is fun!" David beamed. "It's like a roller coaster ride!"
"It sure is" Kali added bravely. "I'm not scared"
"That's the spirit!" Barney told the adventure kids. "This is a good strong ship. So there's not one thing we've got to worry about!"
"Hey, Barney! There's a super-giant wave heading towards us!" BJ warned.
"Okay. Maybe there's just one thing to worry about..." the purple dinosaur admitted.
"Hold on, everybody!" Barney warned the gang.
Everybody held on tight as the huge wave was now right on top of them and washed their ship away to who knows where...
