(y/n) (l/n) always wanted to be a hero, but unfortunately, his quirk wasn't suites for that. Of course, that had nothing to do with him getting expelled from UA.

(y/n)'s quirk is involuntary mind-read. He can read minds, but he can't control who's or when he's can hear other's thoughts, which often results in horrible migraines and his ears ringing.

Being in the same room as even two or three other people is similar to how most people feel at a loud concert. Especially if Present Mic is in the room.

Speaking of Mic, him and (y/n) are good friends, as well as Aizawa, Midnight, and Yagi. They be vibin'.

Anyway, back in highschool, (y/n) had a bit of a crush on Yagi. One day, after lunch, being a stupid pubescent teen, he brought Yagi into the janitor closet and uhhhhhhhhhhb, yeah. Of course, they both got caught, getting the two of them expelled.

That's what (y/n) thought anyway. Despite (y/n) being expelled basically immediately for sexual acts on school grounds, Yagi was only suspended. Gran Torino managed to convince the school board to let him stay, and (y/n) never knew.

(y/n) spent so much of his time hating himself for being the reason the guy he loved was expelled, and Yagi never even told him that he was still in UA. As a consequence, Yagi realized (y/n) could never know that he was All Might.

Of course, that gets quite difficult once (y/n) also started working as a teacher at UA. He's the counselor, but Yagi's co-worker nonetheless, and he couldn't know.

Heaven knows why he couldn't just be told, maybe because while (y/n) spiralled into depression and didn't get a proper education until he was in his early 20's because he was so caught up hating himself for getting Yagi expelled, Yagi actually ended up becoming the number one hero, but hey, who knows.
