[Third Person's POV]

Daisuke Kambe was clueless, the woman in front of him has been crying for one straight hour—from the car ride to his penthouse and up until now as she seats herself on top of his bed, pulling her legs close to her chest and wrapping her slender arms around them.

Akira's sudden outburst at the bar made him bring her home to his penthouse. The penthouse was safer than booking her into a hotel room and it would protect the woman from prying eyes. He was well aware that Akira's father may have been keeping tabs on her so he made sure to jam all of the network signals within a hundred kilometer radius.

Truth be told, he still doesn't have the slightest idea about  what made Akira upset, she was just incoherently speaking a jumble of words and he couldn't make sense out of it.

He notices that Akira was still wearing her heels which looked rather uncomfortable. Daisuke sits down and the bed sinks with his weight, "This seems uncomfortable. Do you want me to remove them?"

He waited for her to reply but Akira just nodded, her head still buried in her arms and sniffling softly. Daisuke sighs, relieved that at least her crying toned down a little and she was sober enough to understand what he said. He lifts her feet one by one and carefully removes her heels and settles them on the side of the bed once he's finished. He places her feet softly on the bed and turns to look at Akira, it seems that his suit jacket was a little too big on her. While they were at the bar, Daisuke had placed his suit jacket over Akira who was only wearing a thin red dress, afraid that she would catch a cold.

Daisuke knew that he wasn't the best person to handle a situation like this. In his twenty seven years of existence, it was his first time dealing with a very emotional woman and an intoxicated at that. He has never seen this kind of behavior on his younger sister, Suzue, so he wasn't sure on how to approach the matter before him.

Should I rub her back? Give her warm tea? Would a hug be nice? What if she vomits all over her dress? What should I-

His train of thoughts were interrupted when the sound of Akira's incessant crying  grew louder. Panicked, he inches towards her and kneels down on her side. He began to smooth her hair and as he does, he could feel her small body trembling as she sobbed into her arms.

What exactly did happen to make her this upset?

He speaks in a gentle voice, trying to coax her, "Akira. It's okay. Can you please look at me?"

Surprisingly, she slowly raised her head, looking up to meet his eyes and  Daisuke finally sees her features clearly. He bites back a curse that threatened to fall from his lips.

She seemed to have sobered up but Akira looked terrible. Her eyes were puffy and red from crying and what remained of her eye makeup was now running down her tear stained cheeks, the wig she wore earlier was now discarded on one side of the room. Daisuke frowns, seeing Akira this vulnerable and helpless, although he refused to admit, broke his heart.
