The Last Stand (Damirae)

Chapter 4: Wayne Manor

"Can anyone tell me again why are we going to Damian's house?" Jaime asked

"Bruce said something about a reunion? He said all the Bat-family will be coming together to have fun."Kori said, "And since I am his daughter in law and Damian is obviously in his son, he decided to invite all of us. Plus, it would be a really good chance for Mar'i to meet her grandfather."

"I think my father will be very pleased to see Mar'i," Damian said sitting across Jaimeat the booth. "We're here."

Everybody turned their heads to see the manor. The place was so big that it intimidated them even the gates screamed Hotel Transylvania. Everybody starred in awe except for Damian.

"Man, how could you be bored of living here?!"Garfield said.

"The silence of the hallways gets to you," Damian explained.

The caravan pulled up to what looks a driveway in front of the well-craved door. They were welcomed by non-other than the notorious Alfred. (queue dramatic background sound) The team stepped out of the caravan still in awe of the architecture of the manor. 

"Welcome back, Master Damian. I've missed you," He said not trying to hide his sarcasm. "Miss Kori, Miss Roth, Master Garfield, Master Jon, Master Jaime, and... ahh this must be Mar'i Grayson."

"Hello, it's nice to meet you again Mister Pennyworth. Mar'i say hi to mister," Kori said politely.

"Hi- hi Mister Pennyworth," she said shyly.

"No, no need for the formality, just call me Alfred. If you would follow me I would help you get settled in," Alfred said.

The team started to unload their bags insisting to carry them by themselves. Suddenly a few heads popped up behind the door. Damian rubbed his temples because he knew exactly who was behind the door. Jason Todd, Tim Drake, and Stephanie stepped out and ran directly at Damian.

"Damian!" Stephanie shouted which pissed him off a little bit. "We missed you so much! It's been what? 2 years?"

"Yayy... it's so nice to see you," Jason said sarcastically.

The trio was showering Damian with questions. "EHEM!" he coughed out of frustration. The three jumped back, giving him space.

"Meet the titans, Garfield, a.k.a Beastboy," Damian said.

"Yeah, you're looking at whole entire animal kingdom smooshed into one handsome, muscular body," Garfield said while flexing his so-called muscles. The others just stared awkwardly.

"Anyway, this is Jon Kent, a.k.a Superboy, this is Jaime, a.k.a Blue Beetle, Kori, a.k.a Starfire our leader and her child Mar'i and Rachel Roth, a.k.a Raven. She is my girlfriend." Damian said.

"You have a GiRLfRiEnd?!" They all said wide-eyed obviously in shock that someone like Damian could get a girlfriend.  They all crowded around Raven complimenting her ability to get Damian to have feelings for someone.

"You're very pretty," Jason said seducingly.

Damian annoyingly pushed the three away from his girlfriend who was clearly overwhelmed by the attention and he didn't like how Jason was all over her.

"If the masters and misses are ready, I will help you to settle in before Master Bruce comes back," he said bowing down.

"He's not home?" Damian asked.

"He is out in a meeting and will be back very soon. Now, shall we?" Alfred said. 

The team got their bags and Alfred led them through the halls to their assigned bedrooms which the manor wasn't short of. Jaime, Jon, and Jaime were made sure to not have the same bedroom, let alone in the same corridor. 

 After dropping off the rest of the team Damian unaccompanied Raven to her room which was just beside his room. 

While they were still on the way to the manor Damian had phoned Alfred and made the special arrangement because he was worried about Raven constantly having those nightmares. He wanted to make sure she was safe.

"I suggest you go take a bath and get some rest, I'll bring you something to eat later," Damian said as he started to relax a little bit.

"It's okay Damian, I can take care of myself. I'll get a little meditation down and maybe you can get me later okay?" she said lovingly.

Damian nodded as Raven walks into her room and shuts the door behind her.

"Well, Master Damian, you know you're way around. I must be off, I will inform you of Master Bruce's arrival when he gets back," Alfred said.

"Thank you, Pennyworth. I will get myself settled in then," Damian said as he closes the door behind him.
