Garfield was on the roof for some reason alone. Jon noticed this and decided to check it out. He quietly walked up and stood beside him. Garfield wasn't flinched by his friend's arrival though, he just sat there quietly. But he had something in his hands.
"Why do you have a rock with you?" Jon asked.
No answer, Jon started to get weirded out since Garfield wasn't that type of person. He sat down quietly beside him. The moon was semi-full tonight the sky was lit up with stars.
"You know long before you arrived there was another titan who joined us. Her name was Terra she sacrificed herself for us. Today's her birthday, you see, "Gar said out of the blue.
"Kori told me about her, she helped Slade didn't she?" Jon said.
"She didn't have a choice, she had a very rough past, worse than mine and yours. She was called a witch because of her powers and tortured day and night by the villagers. Even her own parents abandoned her. Slade saved her but it was all for the wrong reasons, he wanted to use her as a weapon for his revenge. After learning that, she..." Gar was hesitant to go on but she felt a hand placed over. He turned his head and saw Jaime sitting down beside him.
"She was a strong woman who we all loved and respected. She was hiding all that pain for so long, she needed the rest," Jaime said. Garfield smiled back with contentment.
"Yes, she was extraordinary, the strongest woman I've ever met," Garfield stood up reaching his hands into the sky. His hands held the rock he carved for Terra but didn't have the chance to give her. The moonlight shined brightly even with his hands blocking it.
"Yeah..."

Hehe sorry, this chapter was short. I also wanted to pay homage to Terra. Which had a rough life and I think most of us had a rough time growing up as well but in different ways. But seeking the easy way out isn't the answer. Just remember that there's always that one person, even if it's just one person, that will always be by your side <3
