Chapter 1: The start of it all

Raina's POV

          BEEEEP! "Ughh, fine, I'm up!" groaned Raina. She sat up at the side of her her bed and reached out to smack the alarm. Getting up from her bed, Raina walked over to her large closet. She opened the doors to her closet and reached her hand in to grab a random top. 'What am I going to wear today..' thinking to herself.

         Once her hand came out, Raina lowered her head down to her hand, and smiled. In her hand, was her favourite sweater. Slipping on the cream sweater, Raina then, quickly grabbed a pair of shredded skinny jeans. After doing so, she went to her personal washroom to mess with her hair and face.

         A half an hour later of putting on layers of makeup and teasing her hair, she finally got out of her room to go downstairs. Before she could make it all the way down, she was greeted by her sister, Rumor Rover. "Good Morning sister!" Rumor cheered. Raina put on a fake smile and waved back to her. As they made it to the kitchen, Raina walked passed her sister to grab an apple to munch on before school. While eating the apple, her mother walked into the room and stopped to stare at the two girls. "Hey, Raina dear? Is that all you're going to eat this morning?" Her mom questioned. Raina looked up and swallowed a peice of apple. "I'm just not that hungry anymore, anyways if I wait any longer, I'm going to be late for the bus. See you later mom!" Raina replied, throwing out the apple core and walking to the entrance of the house. She picked out a pair of black flats and put them on. Grabbing her duffle bag, she was about to leave, when she was interrupted by Rumor, again.

         "Hey, uh, do you mind if I walk with you to the bus stop? My only friend texted me, saying she switched schools." Rumor asked. "sure! I have no one else to walk with so why not?" Raina replied while forcing a smile. 'Great! Just, UGH! Why does her stupid little friend have to switch schools?!' she thought furiously. Inwardly groaning, she waited at the door for her sister. Once her sister was finally ready to go, Raina opened the door and gestured for her to go first. Rumor hesitantly walked outside.

        Closing the front door, Raina catched up to Rumor, and stepped in beside her. On the way, Raina caught two guys checking her out. Smiling, she winked at them while waving; only to see the two boys look away in digust. 'Hm! Wait, WERE THEY CHECKING OUT RUMOR? Ew, their probably just moved here.' she thought.

        She felt a tap on her shoulder and turned her head to look at Rumor pointing up ahead. Raina looked up to where her sister was pointing at and nodded her head at in Rumor's direction. They finally made it to the bus stop.

        Speeding ahead of her younger sister, Raina sped up to her two little friends. The taller one with dirty blond hair was named Whittney; meanwhile the shorter brunnette was named Brook. Whittney was the older companion, while she only met Brook near the end of last year. "Hey ladies! How are you?" Raina asked. Whitteny was the first to turn to look at her. "OMG! hey Ria! We're doing good! Oh, and I just LOVE you're outfit!" Whittney cheered. "Uh, yeah!" Brook said casually.

        Raina thought for a moment. 'Hmm, Brooklyn's new, but she'll get to know the routine soon... I hope!' her thoughts were interrupted by Brook. "Um, Rain- I mean Ria? Yeah, um, the bus is here.." she shook the rest of her thoughts away and got in the bus. As she smelled the air, she screwed her nose up in disgust. It smelt like a dead body in there. Looking around,  her eyes locked with Rumors for a second, until she heard Whittney call her over. "Ria, over here girl!" with that, she quickly walked up to where Whittney was located and took a seat. While Whittney was listing all the boys she was hopping to see again, Raina was ignoring her, looking for Brooklyn, which, was nowhere to be seen. Just then, she caught Brook sitting, and TALKING to, Rumor?! 'Oh no she didn't! I'm going to need to tell her the rules of popularity when we get out!' she thought with such ferosity. When the bus made it to CrookWood High, Raina was the first one to get out, only to find Brook.

        When she spotted Brooklyn step out and say goodbye to Rumor, she immediatly walked up to her and grabbed her arm and dragged her to the girls washroom. "R-Ria?! W-w-what are you d-doing!" yelped Brook. She let her go and crossly stared at her. "Why did you sit with that, that, loser!" she raised her voice. Brooklyn gave a puzzled look and muttered, "Rumor's not a loser.." Raina replied coldly. "Would you care to repeat that a bit louder?" Brook shook her head. 'Good.' she thought. Feeling satisfied, she turned around, pushed the open the door, just to stop in her tracks. Her boyfriend was making out with her bestfriend, Whittney.
