First Job

*two week time skip*

Lucy POV: I woke up feeling so refreshed it was so nice to finally all be settled in these last two weeks meeting all my guild mates and just relaxing have been amazing. I stretched my arm out when I hit something fluffy. "What the hell?" I look over and see happy is laying by the side of my pillow. "WHAT THE HELL TOMCAT WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? HOW DID YOU EVEN GET IN HERE?!" "Lushie your so loud, are you always like this? FWe came to get you. Natsu just opened the window and we came in. He takes up the whole couch though so I came to sleep with you, your bed is so much more comfy than Natsus. I looked at Happy with a blank stare and jumped out of my bed and went into the living room where Natsu was laying on the couch playing with little fireballs in his hand. "Hey hothead, how the hell did you get into my apartment?! What are you even doing here!? Breaking and entering is illegal you know." He looked up at me, "Well good morning sunshine, i'm not sure if i'm really the one whos a hothead here." Natsu Snickered. I shot him a dirty look. 'Rude.' "Hows it goin Luce? You know you should really make sure your windows are all locked before going to bed. Nice little dress ya got on by the way." "Ugh you are so ridiculous" I went to go shut the windows and make sure they were all sealed shut. "Anyways I came over because you've had enough time to settle in, today we're taking you on your first job. It'll be a small one so we'll be back in no time." "Really! Well I could definitely use the money. Well I guess it's fine then that you just BROKE INTO my apartment. Let me change and get ready." I went to my room and threw on my blue crop top with black shorts and brown thigh high boots. I put my belt that held my keys on and my hair into a high pony-tail and we were off. As we were walking out I dropped off the papers to finalize my move-in in the mailbox the landlady had given Natsu for me. Apparently she came to the door this morning and he answered it, again RUDE.

Natsu POV: We stood in front of the job board and looked for something easy and quick. A job looking for a lost dog? No to easy. A job at a theatre? Yeah right. A job getting rid of some beast that's killing farm animals a town over? Yeah that'll do. I grabbed the flier and handed it to Lucy to read. "Hai! This sounds perfect!" Lucy said in an excited tone. "Natsu!!" A small blue haired dragon slayer came up to us with her small white cat Carla who was also an exceed like Happy. "I'm so glad I caught you, I heard you brought in a new girl nii-chan! It's Lucy right? I've been on a job request for the last two weeks and kept hearing about fairy tail getting a new mage but that's all anybody knew about it" Lucy nodded, "Yep i'm the new girl. I hope that wears off sooner than later hehe, it's nice to meet you!" She said with a small sweatdrop on her forehead. "I'm Wendy and this is Carla. We're so excited to have you here with us! We haven't had a new mage here since I first came 2 years ago!" "I'm taking Lucy out on her first job today. Get used to the lifestyle ya know. We're going to the next town over to get rid of some beast that's killing livestock it'll be quick and easy. Some good practice for luce ya know." "Um Excuse me! You haven't even seen me do magic yet how do you know if I need training in the first place oh wise one?!" Lucy hollered making my ears ring. "Well I guess we'll wait and see won't we?" She gave me a scowled look. "You guys are funny, I think your the only person that has ever yelled at natsu and not gotten in a fight with him after besides Ezra-san. Anyways, i'm going to practice my Sky Dance with Chelia at Lamia Scales guild. All the guilds will be coming for Lucy's party at the end of the month, it's only two weeks away. It's gonna be lots of fun and it's a formal event so try to wear something nice nii-chan." "Wait all the guilds? I mean I know it's a big deal and all but why is everyone coming?" Erza peered down from the balcony above us, "Because it is and we said so. Is that a good enough answer for you or would you like to feel the wrath of me not getting all the cake I can order in advance and see my beloved?" "N-no erza okay yep sounds good we're leaving bye" I bolted out the door with lucy following behind laughing hysterically at the horror Erza made me feel. "I can kick Erza's ass anytime I wanna, I just don't wanna." She continued to laugh, "Sure, sure. Whatever you say." She waved her hand as if waving me away and we started out to the next town over which was only roughly a half hour walk. 

*Time skip* Lucy POV: I knocked on the front door of the little farmhouse in front of us as a little old lady opened the door with her husband behind her. "Oh hello kids, you must be here about the job request. Let me show you the way." "Man this place smells rancid." Natsu scrunched up his nose. "Natsu shut up! I'm sorry ma'am he doesn't mean it in a rude way he's just sensitive to smells." "Oh no worries it's quite alright, some just can't live the life of a rancher. I'm just so grateful that you guys have come to get rid of the beast thats killing my livestock. I lose at least 2 sheep a night." The little old lady pointed into the direction of the woods behind her home. "Right back there is a cave, that's where the beast slumbers during the day. Please take care of it Fairy Tail!" Natsu and I looked at each other and both nodded our heads. "Hai! Don't worry lady we'll take care of it!" The small women almost had a heart attack at the talking cat flying above her. Natsu and I giggled and headed into the woods. "Ick I can smell the stench of animal blood everywhere, we must be close to his cave." Natsu said putting his white dragon scaled-like scarf around his neck. "I know I can smell it too and I don't even have all that extra dragon stuff you have." Just then we heard a loud thud of a tree crashing and another tree being thrown at us. Natsu quickly jumped and grabbed me bridal style onto a tree. "Well I guess we've awakened the beast." He laughed. "Natsu now is not the time to crack jokes when a giant monkey like beast is throwing trees at us! And can you let me down!" We jumped to the ground as another tree flew directly at us. I grabbed my keys off my side quickly. "Open gate of the bull! Taurus" Taurus my celestial bull spirit appeared and cut the tree in half in an instant. "Luuuccyyyy you're lookin' stunnin', even the monkeys got an eye for you!" 'Ew, ew, a million times ew. Disgusting beast monkey man.' "Hehe, thanks Taurus I appreciate it. You can go back now." "anything for you Ms.Lucy" I closed his gate and he was gone. Natsu has already pummeled the Monkey with one fire punch to the head and the monkey was burnt out. Literally it looked like someone had burnt him to a crisp. "Stupid monkey, lets tie him up and bring him to the relocation center Luce. I told ya this would be a piece of cake!" "Alright sounds good! By the way, thank you for saving me again Natsu.. But don't think this will be a habit because i've learned I can take care of myself." He let out a laugh so hard he snorted. "Okay okay whatever you say, next time i'll just let you get hit by a giant flying tree." Whatever so obnoxious. "Open gate of the Maiden, Virgo!" "Yes princess have you summoned me for punishment?" "No Virgo! I need your help. Can you please tie this monkey beast and help us take him back to the relocation center?" "Your wish is my command princess, maybe after you can tie me up princess?" "Lushie, your spirits are kind of odd. Just saying, but it's super cool you can call spirits from another world!" "Thanks Happy I know, but I love them all even in their odd ways. They're my family. Alright Virgo that looks like a good tie. You can go back now." The maiden spirit stood there with ropes in her hands, "Princess there's still leftover rope that will be more than sufficient." What is up with my spirits being so extra today? "No virgo! Thank you for your help, we have it from here." I closed Virgos gate and Natsu grabbed the monkey and lifted it up above his head as we walked. I knew natsu was strong but I didn't think he was THAT strong. By the time we got to the relocation center I could tell Natsu pushed himself a bit towards the end. I could have called on another spirit for help but he insisted that he had it taken care of. We collected our rewards and started to head home.
