Design

Ayano has long waist length blue hair and princess drills and an overall bishoujo appearance fit to appeal most gamers.

In the Persona 2 duology she looks nearly the same except a bit older and gives a mature vibe rather and has a more adult fashion sense.

In Persona 3 Trish describes her as a 19-Year-Old famous idol with blue princess drills.

Personality

Ayano was a usually silent girl who only spoke when spoken to, but eventually tried to change and so became slightly more energetic and letting out a "bishoujo" aura and has the personality of your everyday teenager except that even though she is a gentle soul when angerd can become quite vulgar even worse than Masao and Reiji, but eventually learns to control it, when fighting shadows, she seems to quite enjoy it and even one of her contact options is to make the shadows beg for mercy, all this is due to being tired with her way of life and is looking for something to give her life meaning, she has quite the chemistry with the other characters especially with Elly.

In Persona 2 she is an idol, wanting her songs to resonate with meaning for others due to her before having no meaning in her life, she joins the team in Innocent Sin and her old schoolmates to save the world and fight against the Fuhrer, and showing quite enthusiasm to meeting her old schoolmates, she tells Tatsuya a lot about the Boy With Earring, and advises Lisa when she joins Muses.

The same is with her in Eternal Punishment except she does not have a lot of screentime and is mostly seen on the screens of the city and is seen during the end of Eternal Punishment walking off somewhere after holding an earring.

Etymology

Ayano's last name is a comby between "beach, seashore" and "base, root, origin". Ayano's first name is a comby between "color" and a possesive pronoun.

Trivia

*In Persona 3, there is an accessory equipable for any of the female character's called "Lynn's Heart" which is Ayano's Revelation's name. In Persona 3 Portable it's instead called "Ayano's Heart Of Gold", it's a locket that raises a female party members agility and health a bit.
*In the manga Ayano shows feelings for someone but it is never explored until the epilogue.
*In Persona 5, in the TV special she is mentioned as the "Legendary Idol Ayano who retired at the age of 30 for unknown reasons" means that she probably retired during the events of Persona 3.
*In an interview with character designer, Kazuma Kaneko, It's revealed that Ayano's design was inspired by bishoujo characters and the main heroine of Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Ling Minmei/Lynn Minmay.
*in Persona 4 and 5, Nozomi and Momoka wear her uniform.
*In Persona 5, she is mentioned many times by Momoka, since she is Momoka's idol.
