"UM, HEY REMUS?" she called back to the older boy
"yeah," he turned back to look at her with something in his eyes that Zamira couldn't put her finger on.
"so this is probably going to sound really stupid and your probably going to say no, but there's this party on Saturday for slug club members and everyone usually brings a date, and my friend Adilyn won't stop being really annoying and trying to set me up with random guys." she stuttered out, for some reason feeling very nervous as Remus continued to stare at her looking mildly amused by her nervousness
"anyways what I'm trying to say is if your not busy on Saturday do you maybe wanna go with me?" she finally said through a sigh
"uh, um, yeah sure" his eyes had gone wide and he replied sounding a mix of happy and nervous
"really," Zamira said sounding slightly more confident now
"Yeah I'd love to," Remus said
"um, okay then, great... I'll send you an owl with the details later then"
"Okay, see you Saturday then," he said smiling at Zamira
"see you Saturday"
Zamira turned away clutching her books and being oddly happy considering she didn't really care if he had said yes or not. It's not like she fancied Remus Lupin or anything.
Or so the teenage girl told herself...
but nonetheless, as Zamira walked away she continued to think about him.
he was one of the very few Gryffindors she found actually likeable, and now that she thought about it a bit more he was pretty good looking and from what she had learned from lily he was actually really smart too.
and as she sighed in content, she thought that maybe, just maybe, for the first time she would actually have a good time at a slug club party.

ZAMIRA AND ADILYN WERE WALKING OUT OF THE RAVENCLAW COMMON ROOM, on their way to the great hall for dinner, when Adilyn decided to start badgering Zamira about the party, once again.
"Okay so there's this 6th year that's in Hufflepuff and I honestly think you guys would be great together so if-"
"Adi" Zamira cut off her best friend who wouldn't stop rambling on
"what"
"so I actually meant to tell already but I don't need you to set me up now because I have a date," said Zamira nonchalantly
"really!, who?" asked Adilyn now getting a bit too excited
"um... Remus Lupin" mumbled Zamira
"seriously! your taking Remus Lupin as your date, how'd you manage that?" Adilyn queried with wide eyes
"I don't know, I bumped into him in the library, and I decided to ask him and he just said yes"
"so what do you like fancy him or anything?" Adilyn cheekily grinned at her best friend
"no, no it was just kind of someone to go with you know since you wouldn't shut up about it" Zamira responded faster and more abrupt than she had intended
"oh well okay but I'm just saying you and him would look really good together... and plus you could set me up with James Potter and then we could all double date"
the two girls laughed at the end of Adilyn's statement both knowing that she was joking but at the same time being dead serious.
