When Siebert noticed them, he immediately walked their way.
"Dr Cooper, Dr Fowler, Dr Hofstadter, Mr Wolowitz! Good to see you all! He fake smiled. The small girl following him, her bright blue eyes glistening in the light of the cafeteria. Wearing, believe it or not, a flash T-shirt with a leather jacket over it. Some skinny jeans and casual sneakers to finish it off. Sheldon thought this was a joke.
"Congratulations again, for that Nobel you two!" Siebert said loud and clear so everyone could hear.
"I couldn't believe my two favourite people, said yes to teaching this promising addition to Caltech!" he squealed enthusiast.
"Since when are we your favourite people?" Sheldon answered unimpressed. Siebert ignored it and brought his attention back to the young girl.
"I want you to meet Zoey! Zoey Davis." He took her shoulders and pushed her forward. Taken by surprise, she waved awkwardly.
"I believe mister Petersen informed both of you about her." Zoey was trying to wiggle herself out of his grip.
"yes, he did," Amy said, watching the girl struggle. Finally, he let go off her, she took a step away from him, avoiding it happening in the future again.
"Good, then I don't have to anymore. Her graduation is only two months from now. She will be joining the two of you twice every week from then on." he explained.
"I'll mail the other details later." He said, turning to Zoey.
"Zoey, why don't you settle down at a table here? Mr Petersen will be here any minute now, and you can start your lunch already!" he said and walked away. Leaving Zoey alone, in the middle of the full cafeteria next to the table of our well-known friends.
"Not that I have a choice," she muttered while watching him. She looked around, not seeing any free spots. Leonard stood up.
"Sit here. I'm done anyway. Besides, you have to get to know each other." He winked at her.
"Good luck with that" he nodded to Sheldon who sighed.
"Bye, guys!" They said their goodbyes. Zoey was unsure.
"Go ahead," Amy reassured her. Wolowitz patted the chair next to him. Slowly she started to take a seat. Sheldon sighed again.
"I actually can't believe Raj is going to go out tonight," Howard went on with their previous conversation as if nothing happened.
"I don't know if he will find what he is searching for," Amy answered, worried. Howard shrugged. While once again, Sheldon sighed.
"It is Raj. He will never find what he is searching for." Howard's eye fell on Zoey. She was fidging with her fingers while looking down.
"Don't pay attention to him. He is always like that" Howard said, pointing to Sheldon. She slightly tilted her head, giving him a weird look.
"What's wrong?" Amy questioned. Sheldon opened his mouth to say something, but he was interrupted.
"There you are!" Mister Peterson entered. Zoey shot up and hugged him. It took everyone by surprise, Peterson smiled gently.
"I see you met Dr Cooper and Dr Fowler." She nodded. Still not saying a word. Sheldon sighed one last time. It gave him a worried look from Amy. Howard stood up.
"Nice to meet you mister Petersen, Zoey! I'm Howard Wolowitz" he shook hands with the guy.
"I'll go back to my work now, dinner at yours tonight?" He stated. Amy smiled.
"yup" He smiled wanting to leave, but Zoey stopped him.
"You're the astronaut from the speech at the ceremony?" Zoey said shyly.
"You saw the ceremony?" Howard asked, surprised. She didn't seem like someone who watched that, but then again, she reminded people of Sheldon.
"Of course I did." it sounded like she was offended.
"I always do. I like to see who won. It's like the Grammy's and the Oscar but then less overrated. Beautiful to watch, although it would be nice to win a Grammy one day. Combine the music and the intelligence, put it on one shelf, no one will believe they're real!" she giggled, brabbling about her dream. It made Sheldon roll his eyes. Howard grinned.
"You're cute. I can't wait to see you again." He said while walking away; his words made Zoey blush.
"Can we join you?" Mr Peterson asked Sheldon and Amy.
"Yeah, why not." Amy made a gesture to the other side of the table. They both settled down. Zoey was slightly less shy than before.
"So, any question?" Mr Peterson started.
Penny and Bernadette decided to spend Bernadettes last day off together. Bernadette still had all those baby clothes from when Halley and Michael were younger and was happy to share what they didn't need anymore with them.
"This is so exciting." Bernadette squealed.
"Soon our kids will be playing together." Penny smiled.
"Halley will love that." Bernadette nodded.
"She hopes it's a girl." Penny laughed. Of course, Halley does.
"That was the last box of Halley's stuff," Bernadette said pulling out another one, probably with Michaels stuff in it. They already had been through 4 boxes by then.
"Why do you keep all of this?" penny questioned.
"I don't know." Bernadette simply answered. She opened the box and immediately got emotional.
"Look at this." She pushed a yellow baby star trek onesie in Penny's face.
"Oh, that's what both of them wore the first day they got home!" Penny said almost crying, would she be happy if the hormones calmed down again.
"yes, we still have those pictures on the fridge!" Penny nodded, taking the onesie from Bernadette.
"Wouldn't it be nice if we started a tradition?" Bernadette said.
"Like a thing between our group?" Penny looked at her.
"go on."
"Well, both my children whore that on their first day home, right? What if yours would wear it the first day at your home too? And you keep it for future children or maybe the ones from Raj?" Penny got a massive smile on her face.
"What about Sheldon and Amy?" Bernadette laughed.
"Really, Penny? I don't think they will ever get there. Have you seen Sheldon around Halley and Michael? I hope he at least is a little sweet to yours." She could only nod, Smiling looking at the onesie. This would be the best tradition ever.
