Boy under a spell~

Take you home

Wednesday
Another school morning started as you turn off your alarm and get out of bed.
.
You ride your bike to school and start taking your classes.
Before you went to school you attached a basket to the back of your bike for the lost puppy. You thought about taking it home with you so you let it go through your mind a few times and finally decided to definitely take it with you.

All you thought about was how you were gonna hide it...."is my mom gonna be mad?"
"What if she wants me to get rid of it?....."

You couldn't focus in any of your classes which was pretty bad but you just imagined about what would happen.....

.
After a while school has ended and you calmly went to your bike.
You took the same way home as always and stopped at the area where you saw the puppy.

It wasn't there-

You started looking for it and whistling to get it's attention.

You waited......and waited....and waited...AND WAITED-

Until you heard a small bark.
The puppy was sitting in front of you wagging it's tail.
"There you are"
You said smiling at it
"I waited for you"
It barked excitedly

"Come on I'll take you home"
You stuck your hand out.
It sniffed and then licked your hand as a sign of trust.
You calmly picked it up and put it in the basket.

"Stay in there okay?"
You said getting onto your bike and riding home.

When you arrived in front of your house you parked the bike and took the basket off.
You went inside and looked for your mom.
"Mom? I'm home!"
You said entering the house.
"Hey honey!"
Your mom greeted coming downstairs.
"I have something to tell you...or ask? I don't know-"
You said looking at her with the basket
"What is it dear?"
She questioned.

"I found this lost puppy a few days ago and i took it with me today.....c-can i keep it until we find the owner?"
You stuttered

"You found a lost dog?"
She asked

"Yes..."
You said in a quiet voice

"Let me see"
She said coming closer

You open the basket to show her the puppy.
"Awwee it's adorable"
She smiled at it.
"If you take good care of it and clean up after it you can keep it until we find the owner."
She smiled at you petting the dogs head.

"Really?!"
You said excited

"Yep, but keep your word okay?"
She said

"I will!"
You looked at the puppy joyfully.
After that you took it to the bathroom to give it a bath.
You cleaned,brushed and dried the little puppy and brought it to your room.

"There we go"
You set the puppy on a towel.
It barked cutely.
"You're so adorable! I'm glad i get to keep you"
You said petting it's head.

"How is the puppy doing?"
Your mom said coming into your room.

"Great, i think he feels comfortable"
You smiled looking over at it.

"He does look happier"
Your mom giggled.

"Can i use some pillows and blankets to make a bed for it?"
You asked

"Sure, I'll bring you some things, auntie already got some dog food and treats"
Your mom smiled and left the room

"You're one lucky dog"
You laughed and pet the puppy

After setting up the puppy bed you started to print flyers saying:
"Is this your dog? Found at xxxX street, no name tag or collar. Please contact *number* if he is yours"
You printed a few papers to put up around the area he was found and also around school.
The puppy was pretty well behaved and seemed really friendly. You were kinda hoping that he didn't have an owner so you could keep him for yourself.....

After a while of playing with the dog and snuggling it, it was time for bed. You made sure the dog was comfortable and warm.
After that long day you drifted to sleep~
