Aunt Petunia hurried me to get packing and when we were done she took me to the car and drived us to a small city in London. I didn't question her even though I was confused and she parked the car.
We walked a little ways away from the car and she stopped in front of a completely black store with no windows. The Leaky Cauldron the sign read.
"Harry, this is The Leaky Cauldron. If I remember correctly, there is a way into Diagon Alley through here. We can also stay the night if we are too tired to go back home after shopping."
I nodded in response and we walked in. It looked like an old tavern and we continued to walk to a front desk.
"'Ello, my name is Tom. How can I help you on this fine day?" asked the old man.
"Hello," my Aunt Petunia answered, "we need to go to Diagon Alley and maybe book a room for later tonight."
"For a Mr. Potter please."
Tom dropped the quill he was holding to write and looked up.
"Mr. Potter, did you say?"
"Yes," my confused Aunt replied, "Is there a problem with that?"
"No, no of course not!" the old bartender quickly defended, "It's just, he's the savior of the Wizardin' World!"
"Savior?" I echoed.
"Well, yeah. You defeated You-Know-Who!"
"I most definitely do not know who." I answered.
"You know, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named!" He harshly whispered.
By this point, I think both me and my aunt were completely lost. I was about to ask who exactly who's person with way to many hyphens in their name was, when a giant man - that looked like a giant with more hair than face - walked in. I stared at him with my bright green eyes and his eyes quickly found mine.
"'Arry! 'Arry is that really you?!"
The man that had a strong accent started making their way towards us and he looked at Tom and said, "Private room, eh' Tom?"
"Of course! Anything for the Boy-Who-Lived!"
Now, he was completely confuzzled. (A/N I laughed while writing this - I'm weird that way) All Harry and his Aunt had wanted, was to go to Diagon Alley to get supplies and maybe even a room to stay the night. And now, it turned into a 'Boy-Who-Lived' parade.
The hairy man, along with Tom, led them into a room in the back of the pub and closed the door. Harry heard a click signalling it had been locked. Harry was getting suspicious and while the man looked nice enough - maybe even too nice - looks can be deceiving.
"Wow 'Arry I can't believe it! Yer' already starting at 'Ogwarts 'eh?" asked the man giant.
"Well, yes I suppose I am. I don't mean to be rude," he eased, "but do I know you?"
