12 - In The Name of Brother

A police car wailed up, David and Emma getting out. "Are you okay?" David asked Gold, who was trying to talk to Belle. "I'm at the town line. Three people down, maybe four. There's a car, pretty banged up with Pennsylvania plates," Emma said into a walkie-talkie. "What's going on?" David asked, helping Gold up. "She crossed over the line. She doesn't remember," He said.

Emma went over to Hook. "Hey, beautiful. Here, I didn't think you'd notice. Aah!" He said, screaming when she touched his chest. "I think your ribs are broken," She said. "Oh, that must be why it hurts when I laugh. Did you see his face? His one true love, gone in an instant! Just like Milah, crocodile...when you took her from me," Hook said, getting up as Gold walked over. "But you took her first," He said, hitting him.

"Gold, are you insane?!" Emma yelled. "Yes, I am!" He yelled, pressing his cane to Hook's throat. "You can't do that!" David said, running over. "I can if you let me go," He snarled. "You don't want her to see that," Emma said.

 "I'm a stranger to her," He snapped. "Murder is a bad first impression," Emma said. No one had yet checked on Reagen, who was lying in the middle of the road, covered in blood and immense pain. "What would Belle want you to do?" David asked. An ambulance came wailing over, and Emma stopped it before it hit Reagen again.

"Over here!" David yelled, helping Gold up as paramedics rushed over. "No! Him! Take care of him. He can wait," Emma said, pointing at the car.  "There's someone in there," Emma told Mary Margaret, who was helping Belle. "Stay. I'll be right back," Mary Margaret told Belle. "Do you know this guy?" Emma asked.

"No, I've never seen him," She said. "That's because he drove into town," David said. "From the outside?" Mary Margaret asked. "Looks like the world just came to Storybrooke," Emma said as they loaded everyone onto stretchers. "Dr. Whale, please report to the E.R," Someone said over the intercom as everyone came rushing in, Reagen, Hook, and the Stranger on stretchers.

"I don't know what's going on," Belle said. "Car versus pedestrians. Chest trauma from the wheel. One pedestrian got concussions, broken ribs. The other's got a broken leg, cut on the chest, bleeding heavily," A paramedic said. "Go to X-Rays. Pedestrians first," A nurse said. "Hide him," Emma told a nurse. "What?" She asked.

"Find a room and hide him," Emma said. "Belle, what's going on?" Gold asked, walking in. "Get him out of here!" David said, stopping him. "No, what's happening? Belle! Rae!" Gold said. "I'd like to know that myself," Leroy said.

 "Everybody, calm down. Mr. Gold. Everything will be fine. She's in good hands here. I promise," Whale said. After they fixed Hook, Stranger, and Reagen up, Emma went in to visit them, and Hook woke up. "Where's Cora?" She asked. "What?" He asked, realizing he was cuffed to the bed. "Again? You're really into this, aren't you? Darn, that hurts," He said.

"Told ya. You cracked a few ribs. Where's Cora?" Emma asked, standing up. "You look good, I must say, all 'Where's Cora?' in a commanding voice. Chills," He said. "You have all sorts of sore places. I can make you hurt," She said. "I have no idea where Cora is. She has her own agenda. Let's talk about something I am interested in--my hook. May I have it back? Or is there another attachment you'd prefer?" He asked. "You're awfully chipper for a guy who just failed to kill his enemy, then got hit by a car," Emma said.

"Well, my ribs may be broken, but...everything else is still intact, which is more than can be said for other bad days I've had. Plus I did some quality damage to my foe," He said. "You hurt Belle," She said. "I hurt his heart. Belle's just where he keeps it. He killed my love. I know the feeling," He said. "Keep smilin', buddy. You're chained down. He's on his feet, immortal, has magic, and you hurt his girl and daughter. If I were to pick dead guy of the year? I'd pick you," She said, and they smiled. Then she left.

Reagen's POV

When I woke up, my leg felt different. Dr. Whale came over. "You're free to go. Though, you might want these. Your leg was pretty messed up. You'll need them for about 4 months," He said, giving me some crutches. I got up, and left the hospital, going back to the shop. "Reagen, you're back," My father said as I came in.

"Yeah. Will I still be able to come to find Bae?" I asked. "Of course. We just need to stop by the Charming's apartment first. I have your shawl," He said. We went, and he knocked on the door. He opened the door and I heard it hit the wall. "Gold. We've all had a long night," Emma said.

"You remember that favor you owe me, Ms. Swan?" He asked. "Yeah," She said. "I'm cashing it in," He said, and David came over as I entered. "It's not...good..." She said. "You do honor your agreements, don't you? I need to find someone, so we're leaving today. Pack your bag," He said.

"Leaving?" Mary Margaret asked. "Well, where?" Henry asked. "Wait? Find someone? Who?" Emma asked. "My son. It has to be today because every minute I'm here, is a minute closer to me killing Hook. So it's really best for all concerned if I leave, and you're gonna come with us," He said. "Oh, and, um, we have a long history, so know this and know it to be true. If any harm comes to Belle while I'm gone, I'm killing all of you," He threatened.
