I don't know why, but I've always loved leap years. They feel differently to me than normal years do, but I don't know if anyone else feels like this.
Anyway, Dad keeps surprising Lily and I. He got us a kitten. It's really cute, small and grey with white splotches every so often. Dad said she was the runt of the litter, but she's the most lively little thing I've ever seen. Playing with her, well.... I forgot about everything for a while. I actually felt happy.
Kittens are miracle workers.
