[O/S] Tanjirou x Reader

Along with the scenarios in this book, I'll do some oneshots too! Feel free to request characters that are on the scenario list.

"Eh?! You said what now?!" I shouted in surprise as I almost jumped, but couldn't really as I was in the hot springs with my best friend, Mitsuri Kanroji.

Mitsuri smiled nervously with a nod, probably regretting telling a person like me that was always on edge. "..Yes. The demon hadn't ate any humans yet, and is pretty cute, so it'll be fine!" She exclaimed trying to reassure me as she waved her hands, but I only stresses more. Is the demon truly like that, or is this just Mitsuri's complimenting ways that makes the demon sound way better than they actually are?

"I think her brother is the same age as you,
Y/N-Chan! You should go meet the both of them!" She encouraged as she pumped her fist in the air. I sweat-dropped as I glanced away from her, looking at my reflection in the hot spring's water. "Uhm... I guess, sure.. Where are the two, anyway?" I questioned Mitsuri and she tapped her cheek. "Hm.. I'm pretty sure they're training at the butterfly estate!" She exclaimed and I nodded hesitantly. "...Alright. I was going to go there anyway.. So it should be fine." I trailed off and Mitsuri nodded intensely.

time skip

I groaned as the sun blazed down on me, it was very hot outside. Not only was it hot, but it was humid as hell, too. I felt like either passing out or just going to sleep right on the gravel road, but I decided to keep trudging along my walk to the butterfly estate.

I finally saw the butterfly estate, with Aoi Kanzaki standing outside of it. I tiredly— well, more weakly than tiredly waved at her and she gave me a concerned look before walking over quickly. "L/N-Sama! Are you alright?" She exclaimed loudly and I sighed as the younger girl tried to help me walk over to the butterfly estate. "Yeah.. I'm alright." I murmered and she shook her head. "You're obviously not! You could have a heat stroke, let's hurry inside, okay?" She spoke assertively as she helped me walk over to the estate, then inside.

"Kochou-Sama!" Kanzaki called out and a voice none other than Shinobu Kochou's responded back to her. "I'm in the room with the boys, you can come in." She responded softly and Kanzaki immediately helped me over to the room that Kochou- and supposedly some boys were in. "Alright!" Kanzaki shouted in response and the two of us walked into the room.

"What did you have to ask, Kanza- Oh?
L/N-Chan, you're finally here, and you look a bright-red and tired. Please, take a seat over here!" She said with a concerned tone as she pointed at one of the beds. Three beds were already taken by boys— One with burgundy hair, one with yellow, and one with... a boar mask on? Am I hallucinating from the heat? What the hell...?

I sat next to the bed, which was right next to the boy's with burgundy colored hair, and he immediately introduced himself to me. "Hello, I'm Kamado Tanjirou! What's your name?" He questioned me and I took a drink of water that Kanzaki gave me before I sighed lightly. "Um.. My name is L/N Y/N. It's nice to meet you, Kamado-Kun." I responded and he smiled brightly. "Yeah! Nice to meet you, too!" He beamed back which made me smile a bit.

I ended up dozing off into a nap after Kamado talked to me for a bit.

Time Skip to later, currently dark outside.

I yawned as I walked outside to do some stretching and practice, but immediately heard arguing and fighting between the yellow haired boy and the boy with the boar mask, which before I went to sleep, I learned their names were Agatsuma Zenitsu and Hashibira Inosuke.

"Idiot! Stop trying to fight me!" The blonde shouted with tears pricked at the corner of his eyes. "Never! Fight me! I'll show you who's better!" Hashibira shouted. Kamado was just calmly trying to get them to stop, and I slowly grew frustrated by the loud yelling from the two.

I walked over and grabbed the two of their heads and smacked them together- they were too focused yelling at each other, so the sudden attack definitely made them shocked. Not only were they shocked, but Kamado was shocked too.

"Shut it, you can't work together as slayers if you can't even get along!" I exclaimed and Hashibira snarled. "Oh, yeah?! I don't care if you're a girl, I'll fight you too!" He shouted, which ticked me off even more, which led me do hitting the side of his neck roughly- the type of hit on the neck that can make someone pass out, you know? And that's just what he did. His body stiffened as he made a weird noise before falling to the ground.

"W-Woah..." Kamado muttered as he looked at Hashibira before looking at me. "Are.. You a demon slayer too?" He questioned as Agatsuma was looking at me with starry eyes. "Um... yes. Breath of Mist user..." I trailed off as I got uncomfortable with Agatsuma's stares. "Oh! Do you know Tokitou-Kun?" He asked and I tilted my head. "You know Tokitou-Kun? Yes, he taught me what I know." I answered and he hummed in response. 

"That's so cool! You shou-" His voice was cut off by a kick of the door, and we all turned towards the source, and I instinctively gripped the handle of my sword. "UWAHH-! Oh..? Nezuko-Chan!" The blonde boy swooned as he ran over to the demon, well, tried to. I grabbed the back of his kimono before he got closer. "Are you stupid? That's a demon!" I shouted at the boy, yet Kamado put his hand on my shoulder. 

"That's my sister, please calm down, L/N-Chan." He stated and I gave him an odd look. "Um... Her name is Nezuko Kamado. She has never killed a human, and never will!" He exclaimed firmly and I sweat dropped. "..That doesn't make any sense." I spoke with a confused tone and Kamado.. well, I guess I should call them by their first names since it could confuse someone. Tanjirou gave me a confident smile. "Alright then! I want you to trust me, so I'll prove it." He exclaimed as he strutted over to the female demon and began whispering something to her. After he was done talking, Nezuko's eyes glowed as she looked at me, which made me a bit nervous.

She walked over to me, and did what I truly did not expect her to do. She hummed as he gave me a big hug, patting my head softly. She was a demon, yet she showed no harm. I averted my eyes to look at Tanjirou and blushed. The boy had a bright smile planted on his face as he walked over, "See! Nezuko-Chan would never harm anyone, no need to be so nervous. 

"Hey! Nezuko-Chan is mine!" Agatsuma exclaimed with an attempt at an intimidating look as he pushed me away from Nezuko and began hugging her instead. Nezuko had a confused look on her face which made me laugh slightly. 

"Hey, don't push girls, Zenitsu-Kun!" Tanjirou shouted and bonked him, but not enough to truly hurt him as he turned to me. "Well... This is fine! If you're lonely, I can hug you instead!" He beamed as he walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me, and my face immediately turned a bright shade of red. Yet, the hug was oddly comforting.

Tanjirou Kamado... Why have you made me feel this way?
