"Hey love I won't be able to come home tonight. I have a spontaneous meeting with Mr.Santiago. It's an emergency. I'm sorry I'll make it up to you."
He sighed out in a rush. Almost as if he felt the need to make this call not to comfort the younger, but more make up yet another excuse to not come home. Though this was one of the few, rare, moments that he had a valid excuse to miss another, promised date night,
"Hello?"
"Hyuck?"
"Love?"
"I can't come home early tonight-"
"Fine love. Be safe on the way home."
It was another boy who cried wolf situation as the younger male understood that the older had another excuse, and he started to not care if it was real or not. All he knew was that the elder broke, yet, another promise, and he didn't have enough in him to even try to fight back.
He said it was fine, yet he felt another part of him shatter knowing that he'd be spending his birthday alone yet again.
