Abby crouched at the head of the convoy on the hillside, looking down on the sleeping town. For all intent and purposes it looked like a normal quaint town, and to the human eye that's what it would pass for. Abby knew the shadows did not quite match, they did not fit the way they should.
Using her enhanced eyesight Abby focused on one building in particular. There was no movement within the building that would signify they were in the right place. Abby could feel the heartbeats but there were too many too distinguish from. Abby feared they would again reach a dead end, but her hope would never die, her soul would never give up.
It had been six months since they were taken, six months of sheer torture and torment. From the moment Abby realised they were missing, her heart told her they were still alive, she knew she would go to the end of the earth to find them.
Abby's whole perspective on life had changed, her humanity had been lost along with her life. Since that day Abby had lived in darkness, without the answers Abby needed she was unable to move on. Abby hated what she had become, her past life seemed so far away now as if it never existed. Her mind drifted back to the day when her life had ended and she had awakened as much more.

Abby's eye's shot open wide with sheer anger, barely being able to focus through the red haze. Her body cried out for the one thing that would sustain her, she could smell it, hear it,taste it.
"Blood" she uttered.
Through the pounding of multiple heartbeat's Abby could barely hear a muffled response. She sniffed the air searching for her closest prey, the weakest. Springing up into a crouch Abby hissed as her aching fangs revealed themselves.
Before Abby could pounce a bag was thrust into her face, the sweet aroma filled her nostrils making her mouth water. Through her haze Abby could hear the heart beats gaining speed, she could smell the fear in the air.
Like a savage Abby lunged for the sweet smell, her teeth tearing in to it before sucking as hard as she could. The sweet nectar travelled down her throat like honey, easing her anger. All too soon it ended. "More" she cried. Yet again before she could move another bag was thrust in front of her. Abby groaned at the exquisite taste, feeling the power coursing through her veins with each drop she took.
Abby drank and drank for what felt like hours, savouring each drop. With every bag Abby consumed her sanity slowly returned until the red haze was no longer with her. Wiping her hand across her mouth Abby relished in how rejuvenated she felt.
Her eyes sprang open at the looks of horror she saw before her. Looking down Abby realized she was clutching a now drained blood bag, at least ten more empty one's surrounded her.
Shock and realization hit her like a lightning bolt, she had turned, a fully blown vampire. Abby's thoughts became scattered, panicking she scooted further up the bed, a look of shame and horror upon her face.
A body pushed through her sea of friends, not stopping until they reached Abby's side. There was no revulsion upon his face only relief as he grabbed Abby's cold hand.
"Your okay, your safe now" he said in a soft voice.
Abby wanted to weep, not understanding how this had happened. Her gaze focused on the face before her, Marcus. Closing her eyes her mind travelled back, letting out an agonised cry as she saw herself being drained by The Creator, her father and Jarrod fighting a losing battle.
