"What's for breakfast, bro."
After taking a shower I immediately went to the kitchen. My tummy started rumbling while I was showering and I tell you it's not good to shower when your hungry or else you'll end up eating the soap. Yuck!
I thought that we are gonna watch only one movie yesterday but no, we finished six movies and I didn't get to wrap everybody's presents. Caesar always gets into my room and he really annoyed me that much that he almost saw his present. They must not know I brought their favourites or else the presents will be foiled.
"I don't know Catherine, I've been cooking a lot and I'm brains all burned-out." He said.
"Well good thing the food is not burned out," I murmured.
Caesar scoffs. "How can the food be burned when it's not even cooked yet."
Oh is that even my fault, that was sarcasm bro, geez. You have to cook food or else we'll be starving here. I get some bread some the fridge and put them in the to make a breakfast sandwich. This is just my appetizer cuz my belly is telling me you gotta eat girl or I'll spill out acid or over your entire digestive system. I sit down the dining table eating my sandwich while I look at my phone finding some foods to eat for breakfast.
Buzzfeed's Tasty always have some good suggestions on what meals to eat and their recipes are legit tasty, hence the name Tasty. So, here's a Hash Brown Benedict, Bacon Egg and Cheese Donuts, Scalloped Potatoes, Potato Crust Breakfast Pizza and Bacon Mac n' Cheese Pot Pie. These look tasty, I'll recommend these to my brother.
"Hey, bro!" I called out to my brother who is staring at his phone. For some reasons, I guess he's texting his girlfriend, Sarah who is a nurse in Austria were very close friends and because of me, that's how my brother got his girlfriend. "You still there, Caesar?"
"Yeah, just texting Sarah if she's alright." Yeah, I knew that was coming. When my brother's focused on the screen like that, I know that he's texting Sarah and he doesn't want to admit that he misses her but if she's with him they'll do stupid PDA in front of my face.
I stood up and showed my phone right in front of his face. "What's this?" He asked while keeping his phone in his pocket, getting my phone from me. I gestured my eyes to look at the phone screen. "Oh, these are amazing suggestions but I don't know if I could cook it on time."
I slapped my face. "It's still five in the morning, brother. You still have time to make it. Ugh! Why do my grandparents always want fancy breakfast when we're at home and not in the restaurant. Can't we eat normal, I mean, not-a-fancy food but an ordinary pancake with fruits and stuff?"Caesar gets the ingredients out of the kitchen cupboard and places them in the counter. "Let's get cooking and I need some assistance on cooking the food since someone recommended this to me."
That's not what I expected when I recommended that dish to you, but fine, I'll do it. Geez, I was not born for the kitchen, I was born for the office doing some paperwork and attending meetings. Yes, I can cook fancy meals just like my chef brother since mom taught us cooking but I'm not like him. I'm not a pro in the kitchen.
"Fine, fine. Just get cooking, I'll assist you but only if I do the chopping and washing. I won't do the stirring, I won't get near the pots just the chopping and the washing because I'm just the 'assistant', brother." I made an air quote-and-quote sign
"Thanks, little sis."
Hours later and we finished cooking in time for breakfast and that is 7:30 in the morning. I mostly did the cooking and Caesar is just near the pot stirring and doing some professional chef stuff that I don't understand. Again, I was not born for the kitchen, he is. I can hear my parents and my grandparents' footsteps coming downstairs. Yep, we definitely finished cooking in time for breakfast.
"Wow, I can smell tasty food wafting in the air. What did you cook, Caesar?" Mommy asked while kissing us good morning on the forehead. "Hash Brown Benedict, Bacon Egg and Cheese Donuts, Scalloped Potatoes and last but not the least Potato Crust Breakfast Pizza."
"With a lot of help from me. I recommended these dishes to him mommy and I also helped him with most of the cooking." I smirked and Caesar frowned.
"I'm sure you did, my dear."
"You got a real cooking blood of the Walters, Caesar." Grandpa Gordon complemented and take a seat on the dining table. "Walters are born for the kitchen, you are also good in cooking Catherine but you're more of an office-girl than a kitchen one."
"Thanks, I am," I said.
"So, everyone, let's eat" I said.
"Alright," Dad said as he put the table napkin in his lap and he all started eating.

Okay, time to start wrapping the presents. I have finished wrapping two presents Grandpa Fuller and Mommy's presents. So, two down and five to go. I sit down and set my gift wrapping time into one hour. This present wrapping project of mine won't be too long. I just have to make sure I do it right so as to not repeat it again. I hate that when it happens, but first, I have to listen to music for inspiration and Christmas vibes.
Last Christmas I gave you my heart but the very next day you gave it away. This year, to save me from tears I'll give it to someone special...
Now, what was Grandma Mary's present again? Oh, those cosy slippers. Why in the world did I forget to tag her gift. My brain is getting bothered here, I check the other gifts that aren't wrapped if they are tagged and yes, they are. What in the world--Catherine Claire Walters De Novo, your such an idiot. This present is the only one that isn't tagged and I forgot that this was my Grandma Mary's present.
Oh well, at least the other presents are tagged. Now it's time to get wrapping. So, I'll get some white-gold wrapper and wrap it the best that I can.
Once bitten and twice shy I keep my distance, but you still catch my eye. Tell me, baby, do you recognize me? Well, it's been a year, it doesn't surprise me...
As I wrap the presents, I remember that we are going skiing in the afternoon. Gotta make this fast but not too fast that this will be ruined and I don't get to go skiing in the afternoon. I love skiing is my favourite sport and it's the only sport that I mostly do. Don't get me wrong, I know a lot of sports but I do skiing in December mostly all the time. I'm not athletic, but I am academic.
"Merry Christmas" I wrapped it up and sent it. With a note saying "I love you", I meant it now I know what a fool I've been but if you kissed me now, I know you'd fool me again...
"Merry Christmas I wrapped it up and sent it. With a note saying I love you, I meant it now I know what a fool I've been but if you kissed me now, I know you'd fool me again..." I sing with the music and sway my head.
I wish no one come knocking on my door. I don't want to let them know that I brought them present, all they know is that I bought presents for myself. You know those canvas, calligraphy pens and those journal notebooks. That is, except for my mom though, I told her I bought her some presents so as to not let her fire ignite.
"Catherine Claire! Don't forget that we'll be skiing this afternoon." I got startled as I heard my father's voice outside my room and immediately prepare to hide the presents but thankfully I remembered that I locked the door. Goodness gracious, I spoke too soon. I just want a peaceful wrapping session with your gifts here. Can't you see I'm busy, father?
"Yes, dad. I remembered. I-ah-I'm just here, scrolling on Instagram and, uh, yeah. Scrolling Instagram and cleaning my room." Honestly, I am not cleaning my room. I'm wrapping your gifts, I'll just clean my room after I'm done wrapping your presents.
"Alright, Catherine!" Dad shouted.
Phew, that was close. I have to make sure that I will be done before twelve o'clock. Ugh, if only they didn't let me wash those stupid dishes. GAH! I still have three hours before twelve, it just turned nine so I can make it. Just four more presents left. I just have to make my hands and brain move faster.
Skiing wait for Catherine. Here I come!
