I went out and inhale the cold air from outside. I'm going to miss Anna and so will her friends but she decided for herself and as her friend, all that I have to do is respect her decision. Grandma Mary is cooking my favourite dish today and the rest of the family are out sledging but I didn't come with them since I have no guts to join them for sledging even though I really love to go sledging with my family, my body doesn't know how to move, it just wanna sleep, eat, watch TV and do nothing. Honestly, I'm a little bit depressed and I know how that feels to be betrayed even though if you didn't mean to.

This is cold, I better go inside and warm up or I'll be an ice cube in no time. By the time I went inside, I can smell Grandma's Empanada.

"Hmm, Empanada. My favourite." Mom said when she was young Grandma Mary's Empanadas was the talk of the town. She even opened a restaurant which is run by Uncle Santiago, my mum's older brother in Spain. And yes, she's Spanish and her name is Maria, not Mary but still it's just the same. Maria is Spanish for Mary and Mary is English for Maria.

"If only the rest of the family were here to taste my empanada, they would be so happy," I can see the sadness in my Grandmother's eyes. That is 'if' only they could come here but can't there are some valid reasons why. It may be because of their work, family, anything but I know within my heart that they are happily celebrating their Christmas with their own family.

I hugged my grandmother and planted a kiss on her cheek. "They are happy grandma, we both know that. We also know that they miss all of us, so don't worry. There are a thousand reasons why they can't come here."

She nods. "Yes, you're right."

I eat the empanada with gravy and I can taste the love that my grandmother put in her empanadas. Their really tasty, the kinds that I never get tired of tasting. My brother also makes good empanada but it's only good, not like my grandmother's empanada that deserves a million stars.

"About what happened yesterday," I looked at my grandmother with a wondering face still chewing the empanadas. "You look filthy, Caterina. Chew your food like a woman."

I gulped down my food and drank water. "Okay, first of all, my name is not Caterina. Second, you want to know about yesterday the one when Anna decided that she wants to move out. Is that correct? It's about a boy that she doesn't wanna see him ever again, but she talked to him." I said.

"Girls that age aren't allowed to date you know. You were the same age as her and all you were in love is your studies," Grandma laughs.

"Don't laugh, Granny. And no, I wasn't in love with my studies. I am not a fan of taking notes and I don't really like Math but what is in my mind during that time is to be someone in the future. I have big dreams for the company, Grandma. I even started plotting it when I was in seventh grade," My classmates would always ask me why do I keep on writing what I can't achieve but look at where I am now, this is the true meaning of success. Even though I disliked Math, and taking notes, I still need to strive hard because I don't wanna be unemployed.

"You did the right thing," Grandma placed a hand over mine. "You know your Uncle Santiago was also like that. He always says that women his age were stupid."

As a woman, I take offence of that but I don't know if women at his age were really stupid. Oh, well, everybody can be stupid sometimes, even me but we can't let that stupidity ruin our lives.

"Well, boys my age are more stupid but there are also women who are stupid," I said.

"Good thing your school has strict dating ban rules."

As far as I'm concerned there are a lot of students who are dating secretly and I am not one of that. I'm a very good student in school, I have you know.

"Not so, Gran. By the way, can you remind why are we in this dating subject again?" I asked.

"I asked about that Anna yesterday about what happened to her and we arrive at this subject." I nodded.

"Don't worry about that Granny, someday she will learn her lesson."

"We're back!" Grandpa Fuller shouts and Grandma Mary immediately opens the door.

I don't need to greet then welcome back, right? I mean they just come from sledging and I'm focused on watching Infinity War on Fox Movies. Yes, I've watched this movie a lot too but I can't get over it. The movie may be a serious type but it has comedy, that's why I love it.

What master do you serve?

What master do I serve? What am I supposed to say, Jesus?

Yep, love this scene of Peter Quill and Doctor Strange. And also the part where Peter Quill described Thor. Tall guy, not that good looking. I must say, Peter Parker does not agree with him. It's written all over his face.

"How was sledging?" Grandma Mary asks.

"It was great!" Grandma Christina exclaimed. "Too bad that Catherine didn't join us, she loves the snow as much as she loves summer."

"Don't talk like I'm not listening to Grandma!" I reminded them but it's factual though, I do love the snow and I also love sledging. There's nothing wrong with what my grandma said but I don't want her to say something as if her granddaughter isn't present. And no, I don't like summer, it gets my perfectly white skin tan and I don't like being tan.

"Watching Infinity War, again? I thought you don't wanna repeat the movie you watched over and over again," Caesar said.

Yes, I did say that I don't wanna watch the movie I watched over and over again but I have no choice and I don't have any interest in watching Netflix Movies, it has nothing and even though I love watching Korean Dramas, I feel tired of watching them. That's why I am watching Infinity War, I got no choice. Even my phone has no good recommendations.

"None of your business, bro."

"You're cold to a man, Catherine. No wonder why you don't have a boyfriend." The reason why I don't have a boyfriend is that I am not interested and no man has the same standards as mine or daddy.

"As far as I'm concerned, you're the one who's interested in dating." I can hear a 'huh' from Caesar. Even though if he denies that he dated my friend Sarah who's a nurse from another country so that's a fact, but I still support their relationship though but I don't like it when they do PDA in front of me. Normal, but it's honestly gross.

"Catherine, do you wanna eat empanadas?" Dad asked pointing to the kitchen.

I shake my head and smiled. "No thanks, daddy. I ate a lot of empanadas while you were sledging."

"Well, sis. We're gonna finish the empanadas. I hope you won't get mad and look like a bear when you find out all the empanadas are gone," Seriously, I just wonder who in the world is older. Me or my brother cuz, he acts like he's naughty three-year-old nonsense.

"Enough with that!" Heh, got scolded by dad. "Don't worry, Catherin. We will leave you some empanadas."

"Thanks, daddy." At least one member of the family is concerned about leaving me some empanadas but I've eaten enough, it's time for you to fill up your stomachs from sledging.
