Dear Social Sacrifice,
Do you believe in love at first sight? I'm not sure I do. It seems like it would be the most wondorous thing in the world, if it even exists. I'm not sure I want it to, and I'm not sure what I would do if it happened to me. Would I walk up to him and start a conversation? Or would I be a coward like always and return to my fictional worlds where the characters always know what they're doing?
Maybe, for just that once, I could be myself. Not the person I've become, but who I am when I'm alone.
Wait a minute. Who is this? This...this...lovely boy walking in this direction.
"Hi, I'm Trevor. I see you're reading 'Are You There?'. I just finished that myself and I can honestly say, it's worth the hype. I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name."
My mind doesn't work. Neither does my mouth.
"H-h-hi. Um, yeah, I'm Wren." Great sentence Marie. "I didn't realize there was a hype."
"Oh yeah, 'Are You There?' is the hit of the year. Romance, adventure, fantasy, everything you could ask for in a book."
A beautiful boy who loves books? Unreal. Maybe I do believe in love at first sight. If I'm going to continue this conversation I guess I have to leave you.
Jittery,
Wren Marie
