Straight from inside

Two weeks. It took me two weeks to escape them but I've finally made it back to the walls. I had basically no energy left. I could feel myself falling slowly. Then I crash landed in front of a cottage in the middle of nowhere. I collapsed when I got the ground, seeing someone running towards me before my world went black.

I woke up in a cell. I could hear people yelling but I couldn't tell what about. My head was killing me and I could feel injuries covering my body, most from Reiner and the guy with glasses.

"JUST LET THEM OUT. THEY COULD BE USEFUL" I heard a girl yell.

"We don't even know who they are" I recognized that voice, I didn't like who it belonged to. But I knew if Mikasa was here Eren would be too. I slowly sat up, a hand on the side of my head where the headache was worst. I heard footsteps before someone new spoke.

"They're awake" he said. I don't think the two arguing heard him, as they kept arguing, but I did hear three sets of footsteps walking towards me. "So who are you?" He asked.

"Look, I just need to find some people. Something bad is happening and I need to warn them about it" I said. My voice was deeper than normal because of how sore it was. I felt my cloak fall off my shoulder with the tattoo but thought they wouldn't be bothered by it. I was wrong.

"Open the cell" I heard someone whisper. I was looking down so couldn't see anyone's face but I heard the keys jingle as the door was unlocked. I heard the door open, the sound of running before I felt someone huge. "Where the fuck have you been you idiot?" The person yelled. I recognized them as Sasha. I hugged back after a second.

"Oh, you know, getting tortured by our old friends that turned out to be traitors and crash landing that probably didn't help my injuries" I said. She let me go and helped me stand up.

"I'm taking you upstairs so I can help with your injuries. Plus I can help you clean before Levi sees you" she said.

"He's okay?" I said. I had been worried about him since I had been taken.

"Yeah" she said. She continued when we got upstairs as we had apparently been in a basement. "How many others know about you and him being engaged?"

"You, me, him and that's it I think" I said as she sat me on her bed. I undid my cloak before standing up and taking off my clothes. Sasha walked in and bandaged my wounds and gave me a herb remedy for my headache. It helped a bit. She also gave me some water and some of her clothes as we're a similar size, even if I have lost weight in the past few weeks. She went back down into the main room after she was yelled. I stayed in the room while they had mini-meeting.

I listened in and heard Hanji talking. "I'm sorry, pastor Nick, he was murdered. Today in the trost barracks. I figured the church would want to get their hands on Nick when they learned he was co-operating with the scouts. That's why I hid his identity and had him stay in the barracks. I never imagined they would use soldiers to kill him. This was my fault. I should have been more careful."

"They tortured him" I heard Armin say after a bit. "Presumably for information, do they just want to know what exactly he passed onto us?"

"Most likely" I heard Levi say. I wanted to go out and talk to him but I knew it wasn't the right time. "But these are the interior MPs were dealing with, so you can bet there's something deeper at work here. Now how many nails was the good pastor missing?"

"Uh-"

"How many? You saw right?"

"I only caught a glimpse of him. But all the nail beds I saw were empty"

"People who talk, talk after one. If they don't ripping off more won't make a difference. I'm impressed, I didn't think highly of pastor Nick but whatever his faults, he stuck by his beliefs until the end. Which means they have no idea we know about the Reiss family, but the government is up to something and we've got a target on our backs." I heard a commotion and Levi say that they were leaving.
