alex closed the door behind him,
"you alright?" alex said moving a chair to georges side
"never better you" george said everything with such enthusiasm that alex couldn't help but laugh
"have they even given you drugs?" he said still giggling to himself
"just some painkillers precious"
George smiled
"your something else you" alex laughed.

the door opened and a large man walked in, George took alex's hand and squeezed it
"hello, im Dr. Johnson. you must be alex" the man said with a smile. alex extended his free hand out for a hand shake,
"thats me"
"okay, so george" the doctor said
"yes" george said
"the x-rays have come back and it turned out that you haven't fractured your spine but", george looked at alex who looked a bit relieved but he was still really stressed, considering how hard he was squeezing georges hand,
"but..." Alex said
"but your going to need stitches in your back and you've tore a ligament in your ankle, which means a cast for about 3 weeks."
alex let go of his breath that he didn't know he was holding
"and your gonna have a broken hand in a minute" the doctor laughed looking at georges hand that alex was still squeezing
"oh" alex laughed and let go a bit, George laughed at how nervous alex was
"your going to have to stay over night because we don't have enough people right now to do the stitches but they can be done first thing tomorrow morning then the cast done about midday" the doctor said
"thats fine, can alex stay here?" george asked
"he can, i can try find another bed if you want"
"yeah, thanks" george said
"i- i can sleep in the chair its fine" alex said before the doctor could leave the room,
"the chairs very uncomfortable to sleep on, son, I'll find you a bed" he said as he left the room and shut the door after him.

George just looked at Alex,
"I'm sorry" george said before alex could say anything
"about what?" alex said, still staring at the wall
"for telling the nurse you were my boyfriend,"
"oh uh its fine" alex said smiling
"its just because i remembered her from a club, a couple years back and she obviously remembered me aswell and she kept looking at me weird" george confessed
"the George remembers a girl from a night out, wow." alex laughed
"not strictly true, she kept staring at my solid abs and i didn't know who she was until the other nurses left the room and she said 'oh George' and i was like what the fuck and she said 'last october we met at a club' and i still didn't remember and so i asked whats her name and she said, Harriet." george said looking at Alex
"Harriet?! that Harriet?" alex said now also looking at George
"yep. that Harriet" george looked away
"thats why she looked at me like that"
"ey?"
"she came into the waiting room and said georges boyfriend with a really bitter tone and then kept looking at me like she wanted to kill me"
George's mouth dropped
"the bitch!" george said a little too loud
"shush" alex laughed
"no! shes getting jealous of you yet she couldn't even hear me when i said that i didn't want to fuck her" george laughed "pathetic"
"it really is because we're not even together" alex said while laughing a little too much
"i wish" george said quieter
"pardon?" alex stopped laughing and said
"oh nothing" george smiled and stroked alex's face which made alex blush
