Chapter 64

Ava shut the door to her room and sat in a chair. Connor had gone to see a few things regarding Ava's medication. Ava looked up when there was a knock and it opened "can I?" Daniel asked "why not. What's up?" She asked moving to the bed so he could sit down "how are you feeling after being out with Connor?" She shrugged "tired but I liked it. We went home and I got to relax." He nodded "would you like to go home?" She looked at him puzzled "yes, but I know that won't happen anytime soon." He sat back and smiled "you're doing well Ava. Your making progress but you need to talk about what you're feeling. What about these dreams you're having? Care to talk about it?" She shook her head "rather not. Claire and Connor have both tried, I don't want to relive it." He nodded "tell you what Ava, if you have the dream call me and I'll come up and we can talk then and you won't have to later." She sighed as Connor walked in "then he has to keep me up or I might fall asleep." He shrugged "then I'll sit here and wait. Ava, I will wait for you to talk trust me." Connor laughed "shut up" Ava threw a pillow at him "I'll leave you to alone. Glad to see you smiling again ava." Daniel said leaving

Ava sat up and let her feet hang over the side of the bed "how much did you hear?" Connor shook his head "not much. Why?" Ava got up "he said if I have the dreams call him and he will come up here. I think this is holding me back. I remember them to a degree but I don't remember much when I wake." Connor sat beside her "well we will do as he has said and if you dint remember we will think of something else, though when we ask you about them you remember most of it but don't want to say anything." She lend over on him and he wrapped his arms around her "I'll sleep with you so I'll be close." She smiled missing him close to her "it's you" she whispered he looked at her "the dreams..." she nodded "what happens?" She shook her head he kissed her head "ok....ok.....look about tomorrow. I have the kids so..." he felt her body tighten up "how about we do a family outing?" She closed her eyes "where? I mean how the hell are you allowed to take me out?" He laughed "I'm a Doctor and you're my wife and Goodwin doesn't fight me on it. I'm with you when we go out and she and dr Charles agree that this is a good thing. We can go to the aquarium." She got up "can I think about it?" He pulled her to him "no, but I also don't want to make you. I do want us to do this Ava. I won't make you." She shook her head "park didn't go well, no" he nodded "how about we walk and get dinner" she shook her head "not hungry, you go. I'm good I promise. I'm tired is all" he nodded "I'll go and bring it back. Tea?" She nodded "thank you" he nodded heading out. When he got back she was asleep. He felt her head before covering her up

Connor had just fallen asleep when Ava started to move "hey, shh... I'm here." He ran his fingers up and down her arm trying to calm her and she started to push him away and fight him "please no" she screamed "no!!!leave him alone!!" Connor got up and call Daniel and told him to hurry Connor went back to trying to calm Ava but tried to let her stay in her dream. "He didn't do anything, please!!" Connor pushed her hair back as she settled back down. He sat in the chair beside her "how is she?" Connor looked at Daniel "she calmed down but never woke. I did worry she was faking it to get me here, she's not." He nodded "she say anything?" Connor got a rag and wiped Ava's head "yea, leave him alone, he didn't do anything. Screamed it all. I didn't want to risk her waking so I just stayed close." Daniel nodded "we maybe in for a long night. Any idea who it is? Who she is talking to?" Connor shook his head "she's closed mouth. This is new. She would wake in a cold sweat at home but she didn't scream. I hate this for her." Daniel nodded "well I'll stay the night here in the hospital in case it happens again." Connor shook his head "stay for awhile?" He nodded "ok"

Connor got back into bed with Ava after he and Daniel talked. They settles in the room and were almost asleep when Ava started again "please,no. Don't hurt him. Don't please I'll do anything." Connor got out of bed and Daniel stood next to him "Ava? Who is getting hurt?" Connor watched Ava "Avey? Who is there?" She started screaming "Please!!!NO!!!!! He's just a boy!!!" Connor rubbed his face with his hands "she may be talking about Callen? Talking to his father? I don't know" Connor shook his head "I don't push about that since I'll kill him for hurting her." Daniel nodded "she may want to push away from Callen because of him, what he did." Connor nodded going to get a cloth for Ava. She was sweating and he hated seeing her like this. Ava pushes Connor away as the dreams started again. She fought him and Connor let her hoping she would wake or drop names. This went on for an hour with no names.

Connor went to get coffee while Daniel sat with her since she was stirring. Ava woke up and looked around slowly and jumped "oh...this can't be good" she whispered "connor called me last night when you started to have your dream. Do you remember it?" Ava nodded "it's always the same. It's not true so why does it matter?" Daniel got up "it could be why you can't move on. You are very careful not to say names." She closed her eyes "my ex moved from here so he isn't a threat. I don't say his name because Connor would kill him for hurting me." Daniel nodded "who is getting hurt Ava? You say don't hurt him" Ava looked at him "Callen" she whispered seeing Connor "who is hurting him" Daniel asked "his dad" she said looking away "but he never does. He has never seeing Callen, he left long before he was born. He never knew I was pregnant, I never told him." Connor looked at her "what if he does know?" She shrugged "you signed papers, you want him and most importantly you love him. Only thing he has of his dad is dna other wise you're his father." Connor walked over "I'm what?" He asked "his father" she whispered "she hardly ever says that." Connor told Daniel "what else happens in the dream?" Daniel asked "not now" Ava said "not now"
