{4} Admitting Feelings

I ran over to the front door and opened it, there stood Minato, with the usual, adorable bright smile glued on his face.

"Hey (Y/N)! All ready?" He asked as he looked at me.

I smiled and nodded. "Yup! I'm ready," I said as I walked out of the door, closing it then locking the door behind me.

He gives me another smile, before heading to his car. I followed him before I went over to the passenger side and got in. I sat down in the seat and put my seatbelt on, then closed the door.

I looked at Minato, as he started the car. He looks at me, "are you excited?"

I nodded, happily.

"Yeah! I get to go to a carnival and spend more time with..." I trailed off, as I felt my cheeks heat up.

"Me?" He looks at me with slightly pink cheeks.

I stayed silent, but I nodded.

"I'm glad. I'm excited to spend more time with you too, (Y/N)." He said.

I smiled and looked out the window, as he drove off.

Soon, we made it the carnival. People were already going inside, and at the same time, people were leaving with their arms filled with food, toys, or even prizes from different games. I suddenly felt excitement bubble up inside of me, I looked at Minato, with an excited look. "Ah, it's been so long since I've been to a carnival! I'm really excited, and excited to spend it with a friend!" I cheered, happily. I haven't felt this excited in a long time.

Minato chuckles and smiles, as he puts his key in his pocket. "I never knew you could get so excited about going to a carnival. This will be a lot of fun." He said.

I smiled and nodded as we both got out of the car. Together we walked over to the stands where he had to get tickets or a stamp on our hands for unlimited rides. [I don't know if other fairs do stamps, but the one I've been to do, so lol...]

"Hm, we should get the stamps," Minato suggested and looked at me.

"It's only 1643.52 yen each," I said. "I can pay for mine," I told him. [It should be about $15 in US dollars.]

He shakes his head. "I'll pay for it." He said, and pulled out the money and held it out to the manhandling the stamps. We both then held out our hands and stamped them. "Thank you!" We both said, before heading inside the carnival. It was swamped, there were people everywhere. Talking and exploring, having fun with friends, families, and lovers.

I then suddenly felt my hand being grabbed. I jumped and looked at who grabbed my hand, it was Minato, with a sheepish and apologetic smile. "Sorry, I just, think we need to hold hands, so we don't separate from each other." He said.

"Oh, okay." I smiled at him. "What do you think we should do first?" I asked.

"Hm... I think rides first, then food, then we can go do some games get prizes, and when we're done we can go and see the fireworks from the ferries wheel." He suggested.

"Ah! That's a good idea! Let's go on some rollercoasters then!" I cheered.

He chuckled and nodded, letting me take the lead.

We stood in line for the first rollercoaster ride, we were the third pair in line to get on.

I smiled, as I felt myself bouncing.

"(Y/N), I never knew you could get so excited over a carnival and rollercoaster ride." Minato chuckled.

I blushed, feeling slightly embarrassed. "Sorry... It's just that kid side of me." I said.
