Today was the day my dad and his wife would be visiting us, me and my siblings were all downstairs just chillin till we heard a knock at the door, my mom went and got it standing right there was my father and his wife.

"kids y'all dad is here" my mom said while letting them in she made a face at Cynthia while she was walking in. we all stood up from the couch looking at each other it's been years since i last seen my dad but he still looked the same from the last picture we took

"hey kids i missed y'all" he said with a wide smile on his face

"y'all give y'all father a hug now" my momma said while folding her arms

i rolled my eyes since i was the oldest i give him a hug first so she wouldn't go crazy on us for being disrespectful.

"wow nia you don't even look the same" he said with a smile on his face

"yeah because you don't come around enough to busy tryin. to rebuild your life over" i told him with a smile

"no it's okay if that's how she feels she can feel that way" he said while moving on to Niya

"how you been sweetie?" he asked her

"i'm doing fine" she said while rolling her eyes

he moved on to noah who only give him a head nod since noah didn't mess with him like that.

"this is my wife Cynthia if y'all forgot" he said

"hello you guys" she said in her sweet voice

i seen my mom roll her eyes before speaking "are you two hungry?" she asked while going in the kitchen

"yes i am starving" Cynthia said while following right behind her

we all made our way into the kitchen everyone sat down at the table but i stood in the door frame, my phone was buzzing in my back pocket i took it out seeing it was Kason calling me "i gotta take this" i told everyone while i went upstairs to my room i sat on my bed when i hit the answer button

"damn what took you so long?" he asked

"i was around family my bad wassuh with you?" i asked him

"i was calling to see if you wanna chill with me and hakeem at his crib" he said

"i'm glad you said that cause i sho don't want to be here right now" i told him with a smirk

"why lil mama?" he asked

"i'll tell you when you pull up on me" i said

"ight bet i'll be there soon" he said while hanging up

i put my phone down and went to my closet to see what could i wear for today i wore my roma T-shirt with my fashion nova all black biker shorts with my yeezy boost 350 V2 for my hair i did a high bun with the braids, i made sure i had my LV purse i checked myself one last time before going downstairs seeing everyone back in the living room chatting it up except Noah who was on his phone the whole time, my mom seen me come down the steps wondering where i was going

"why you all dressed up?" she asked making everyone look at me

"i'm going out with some friends" i told her

"you father is here and you going out? i don't think so" she said

"it's fine she can hang with her friends we going to get back to the hotel anyway" my dad said
