I headed to the door and was getting ready to leave until Kevin stopped me. "I might as well come along, my mom said it'd be fine." He grabbed his hiking bag. I wasn't so sure what he wanted it for but I had the felling we'd need it. We walked back to my house. "Mom I'm back home, early too." I gave Kevin my 'head to my room' look. He ran to my room. "Good." said my mom walking into the living room where I was. "I need to tell you that I'll be gone for a little bit. While you were gone I got a phone call from my boss saying I need to head on a business trip." "Oh ok that's good right?" "I'm not so sure if that would be good." "Why not?" "I feel like I'm going to have to call your aunt to watch you while I'm gone." "What why?" I knew why I just didn't want her to think I knew. "I feel like something might happen." She said. "Mom I'm fine I don't need my aunt to take care of me." "I know you don't but I want to make sure you'll be fine. I'll give her a call and tell her to make sure nothing happens. You can stay in your room all day and not have to worry about your aunt ok?" I sighed and gave her a nod. "Good." She said. "Do whatever it was you were about to do while I call your aunt." I ran to my room and shut the door.
