"Home sweet home," Harry set the car seat down, holding his arms wide as we entered the house. I smiled, shaking my head as I bent down to pick up Piper who had been sound asleep the whole ride home.
I carried her to the living room, lowering my shirt to feed her before she got fussy. Over the few nights we'd been at the hospital, I'd quickly found out that if I didn't feed her on a set schedule, she would scream her head off. It'd woken me the first night, both Harry and I trying figure out what was wrong with our child who was screaming bloody murder. The nurse was more than welcome to helping us through the process in making a schedule so this didn't happen again.
"Reese is begging me to come over since you're not answering your phone." Harry plopped down beside me on the couch as I sighed.
"Tell her that she and Dad can come over later tonight." Harry nodded, typing away at his phone, "After I feed her, I'd really like to take a real shower. Are you going to be okay with her for 20 minutes?"
"Are you joking?" Harry looked appalled at my question, placing his hand on his chest and gasping dramatically, "Please love, I was made for this role."
He was absolutely right. Piper adored him already, even only at four days old. When she got fussy, other than from being hungry, she wanted Harry. He'd talk or sing to her, she liked the singing best though. She was going to be a daddy's girl for sure.
When I felt Piper drifting off into a milk coma, I handed her over to Harry. He laid her on his chest, holding onto her with one hand as he scrolled through TV channels with the other. I kissed his lips as I stood, walking to the bathroom to shower.
I sighed when I closed the bathroom door, enjoying a moment to myself since I'd gone into labor. I turned on the water, cranking up the temperature, and stepping in. I let the water flow over my still sore body, reaching every muscle. I couldn't tell you how long I took in the shower, just enjoying the feeling of an actual shower and not a half ass bed bath.
Once I felt I was fully clean, I stepped out, throwing on one of Harry's t-shirts and a pair of underwear and socks. I combed through my wet tangles as I walked back to the living room. The cheesiest grin landed on my face as I saw both Harry and Piper napping peacefully with none other than The Notebook playing in the background. I grabbed my phone to snap a quick picture of the two of them, posting it to my instagram that I rarely ever used anymore. I captioned it 'Only four days old and already a daddy's girl.'
I decided to take this opportunity to get some sleep myself as I walked back to the bedroom, being sure to set an alarm for three hours so I woke up before Piper had another melt down. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was knocked out.

"She's so beautiful guys." Reese cooed at Piper who slept soundly in her arms. I smiled at her, squeezing her shoulder before I made my way over to my dad, sitting beside him on the couch. Reese, my dad, Anne, Gemma, Niall, Louis, and Liam, who I'd quickly found out was yet another one of Harry's old band mates, had come over with food to fill our stomachs for days which I was extremely grateful for.
"How's being a mom going kiddo?" My dad slung his arm around my shoulder as I yawned, my eyes drawing over to Reese who was still talking to Piper.
"I think I'm doing alright. I'm beat though, all the time." My dad chuckled before taking a sip of his beer, "And I miss drinking for sure." I pointed to his beer, sighing.
We stayed in silence, watching everyone talk and gush over my daughter. Harry was enjoying time with old friends, which made me extremely happy. I knew he missed the band no matter how much the media tried to portray the idea that he didn't.
"That little girl is going to be so spoiled." Anne sat down beside me, her eyes on Harry as he took Piper from Reese. I nodded, smiling as he introduced her to each of the boys individually.
"Don't I know it. She's a daddy's girl already. He was definitely born to be a dad." We both continued watching Harry is awe, Anne tearing up a little.
"You're really the best thing to happen to him Jensen and I mean that with all of my heart. I've seen him so heartbroken over so many girls that never deserved an ounce of his time. I've never seen anyone match his energy like you." I found myself a little choked up at Anne's words. I hated the idea of anyone hurting Harry.
"I can say the same thing for your son. He brought me out of this hole I'd been stuck in for years. I've never felt more like myself with anyone else. I love him so much it feels like I'm going to explode sometimes." I laughed, letting out a shaky breath.
Harry caught my eyes on him. He winked at me before lifting Piper's arm in a wave, making me shake my head, smiling. He said something to the group of boys before walking over to me and his mom. He handed Piper to Anne before sitting down on the coffee table in front of us all.
"What are you ladies chatting about?" He looked suspiciously from me to his mom, eyebrows raised.
"Oh I was just telling your mom that I thought Louis and I would have had cuter kids." He narrowed his eyes at me before squeezing my knee and making me laugh. Anne was too invested in Piper to notice my joke.
"So funny, J." He rolled his eyes before an alarm started going off on his phone and almost as if on cue, Piper let out a small cry.
"She's got this down to clockwork. I'll be back." I got up from the couch, taking Piper in my arms as I walked to the bedroom to feed her.
"I think you get this hangry thing from your daddy, love bug. He'll tell you the opposite but he's the one who gets angry when his stomach is empty, not me." I cooed at her as she continued to cry.
