Toni's POV:
I woke to the sound of my phone ringing. I leaned over and it was Cheryl. She said her mom just moved out of the house and in with her uncle. She wasn't crying, if anything she was happy. She asked me if I wanted to come over and check the place out. I agreed to come over and hang for a bit after school and we ended the conversation.
It was my sixth period and I got a text from Cheryl.
Cheryl🥰: Hey Toni I want you to try out for the vixens. If your in meet me after school in the gym!
Me: Kk.
I had to see her so I decided to try out. It would mean more time with her and I would do anything for that. I went to the gym after school and all of the vixens were there. They were all stretching and practicing when I walked in. Cheryl saw me and ordered the girls to get in line. "Hey Toni! I'm glad you came. We're gonna show you the dance and then you copy. K?" she asked me with a smile as bright as the sun. "Okay Cheryl Blossom," I said with a smirk. I watch Cheryl do her dance and studied her every move. I new I had to add a little extra in my dance to impress her.
I went up and copied it with a little bit of my on swag and she clapped for me so everyone else joined in. "There's no way you people can top that soooo..... it looks like your in!" Cheryl ran up to me and thanked me. She hugged me and I felt this rush go over my body. When she pulled away from the hug I saw goosebumps on my arms. I couldn't believe myself. I've never liked someone so much before. As I was daydreaming Cheryl snapped me out of it by yelling, "Inner circle vixens front and center now!" I assumed that meant me since I was standing right next to her. She invited us all to a sleepover at her place in celebration of me joining the squad. It took everything out of me not to squeal.
After I left I packed the most attractive clothes I could find that wouldn't come on too strong. When we got there we talked and did hair and other girly things that I just wasn't that into. We eventually went to bed. Cheryl has all of the girls sleep on the floor on a mat except for me. She insisted that I slept in her bed. That rush from practice came back when I laid down next to her. She rolled over to face me. "If I'm being honest, I only wanted you to come tonight, not the other girls," she said and smiled. "Where does that put us?" I asked. She didn't answer and we sat there in silence staring at each other. I couldn't help myself any longer, I had to do it. I leaned in and so did she. Our lips met and it was like heaven. I knew then that she was mine and I was never letting go. She pulled away and smiled at me and we fell asleep in each others arms.
