8: Special Surprise for Ikuto at a Special Day

Ikuto's POV

OKAY, OKAY, OKAY!

I know that attack,  but I wasn't sure what really happened, but I have a feeling that I lost my memory about it.

Once I got out of the hospital, Amu kept hugging for the past few days, which I kinda like, actually. "Amu, pls, don't dare to hug me this much..." My face felt hot. Amu just kept hugging me.

"I'm glad you got better once you saved me."

That caught my attention. "What was that?"

Amu hesitate. "Uhm, it was actually 6 years ago since you had that 'you don't know what happened' action."

"What???"

"NEVERMIND, you'll know soon once you got your memories back. Dang, you didn't remember anything since after you got a coma for 6 years!"

Dang, 6 years? My first new record. I was looking down, but once I looked up, I suddenly hit a wall. My head hurts, suddenly I saw a memory of... me grabbing onto Amu when we were falling from a high building? Suddenly, I realized what had happened and for the first time, tears started to roll down my face, and I quickly wiped it off. Amu seem to notice it and hugged me, her face closer to mine. My face went red and hot. 

"How about we go grab some boba?" Amu asked. Without me answering, she dragged me to a boba shop and it has all different kinds of flavors. I waited outside from the shop waiting. A girl spotted me, and another, and started to whisper. I can either think if they like me or just looking at me because they saw some stitches on my head.

Wait, my head? I was about to touch the stitch when Amu grabbed my wrist.

"Don't touch it until it recovers. You fell down with me since I decided to suicide myself when I was Daredevil Amulet. We landed hard, you mostly got injured. Not my best experiment with you."

"So I am supposed to be taking the blame, since I left you without no protection? Made you upset that I left you?"

"Speaking of that, your birthday is coming soon, is it?"

"Yes, why?"

"Oh, it's nothing." Amu looked down, smiling at the thought of whatever. I shrugged and went walking ahead, drinking some boba. The taste was good, and I soon realized she had picked the chocolate flavored boba. (Well, do they have chocolate boba???) I chuckled. Amu looked at me and looked away once we laid eyes. 

Next few months had came by, and Amu went looking around searching. I was confused but had let her do her search.

Tadase and Utau had been keeping me company for the past months.

Amu's friends kept me distracted whenever Amu was at a place they were in.

Amu still searched.

I woke up one morning and feel like I forgot something today. But when I turned to my right of my bed, Amu was standing there, and grabbed my wrist. She pulled me up to my closet. "Change, we're going somewhere."

"Where?"

"Change."

After a few minutes, I found myself outside with Amu drinking some boba and did a lot of stuff. But why is she doing it today?

"Because I am distracting you from a special surprise, you can't ruin it."

"What do you-"

"Oh, look, imma get some cotton candy, ok?" She dashed off, leaving me behind chasing her. 

After a couple of hours, I was barely moving and I took a break, sitting down on the bench . And was barely tired and begged me to move around. I told her I was tired, so she let me stay put. 

"Seriously, we're going to your house."

"Why?"

"Special reason, special surprise, special day for you! And maybe the present of who you wanted to see these past years of your life."

What? What was she trying to tell me?

Later, once I reached my house with Amu, a girl with wavy hair and a ribbon on her head met Amu and hugged her. "I knew you would be here within a minute!"

"Rima, chill, it's just getting started. Tell the present to be ready."

Present? "Amu, what-"

She pushed me in. The house was dark, so I took me a second to find the light switch. But right after a millisecond everyone screamed out "Happy Birthday!" 

I was in shock. "Okay, so what?!"

"Amu was out with you today so we could finish our last touch," a guy named Nagihiko said.

"She didn't give you time to sleep, I can tell." Yaya said, laughing. A guy name Kairi hushed her, and Yaya turned red.

"The present you wanted is here. We didn't tell Utau, your mother Soko, or you he came." Kukai and Tadase said.

"Who is that present, and why is it a he?"

"Because I am your father, Ikuto." The present said. Utau and me gasped once we laid eyes on him and tears began to drop. Mother was there, and she also felt the same way. 

"Aruto!" we cried. 

I can't believe my father is here. Utau and Soko also thought the same. We hugged him and he hugged us back. 

"How are you here back in-"

"Thank the person who found me and had literally dragged me here without my family knowing."

"Who?"

"Take a guess, child."

"Huh?" I turned to see Tsukasa, the guy who is Chairman at Seiyo Academy and the guy who had side jobs. 

"She kept you distracted while she was looking for your father."

"Who?"

"Who you have been spending the day with together. Who dragged you here."

Suddenly, I had the words in my mind. "Special reason, special surprise, special day for you! And maybe the present of  who you wanted to see these past years of your life."  I gasped and ran out the door. I closed the door and scanned the garden and a second I found Amu. She stood, looking at me with a happy look. "You're welcome," she said before I had the chance to say thank you. 

We stood there silently for a moment. She walked up to me and hugged me again for the 50th time in my whole life. She leaned in and slowly, my lips suddenly felt hers, and I was in shock.

"Love you."

I didn't know what to say. "M-me... too?" She stood me up and herself. She pushed me inside again, this time she went in too. 

"Don't ask." she said.

I glance at everyone and they began to give us Lenny faces. My face went hot.

"Start whenever you're ready..." I muttered sheepishly. Bruh, you people are lovesick shippers. Payback. I whispered the idea to Amu, and she nodded evilly. Everyone went quiet. 

"What?"

Soon, Amu pushed Utau and Kukai into the fountain outside, and soon they got soaked up. Everyone gawked, but the idea was not over yet. If you ship us, WE will ship you all!

Mwahahahahaha! I win!
