Gargoyle King doesn't exist, and Hal never knew about Charles until after she gave birth to him.
Typical Betty, being snoopy and not caring if she get's caught. She decided to help Alice clean the house today while FP spends the day with Jughead. Jellybean was visiting her mother for a weekend.
She decided to clean the attic, she found tons of boxes that were junk or from her father. Betty went through most of them and found pictures of his childhood. She found a box and saw really old stuff. She found an old diary and was already getting hooked on it.
Dear Diary,
I spent the entire day of summer with my boyfriend FP and our friends. We went to Sweetwater River and swam all day. Nobody brought sunscreen so now everybody has red burns. Today was a day that will always be in my memory. I also cut my hair short and it looks really good.
Betty looked at the photo, seeing everyone in their teenage years. Her mother has FP's serpent jacket wrapped around her shoulder's, while he was holding her in his arms, causing her to laugh. Hermione and Fred were next to them, Tom and Sierra were hugging each other looking at the camera. She looks at another photo and see FP and Alice resting their forehead against each other, their eyes closed.
Betty had never known how much her mother loved FP. She thought it was just a small relationship that only lasted for two months. She put the photos back and turned the page and began to read instantly.
Dear Diary,
Today is the anniversary of me and FP's relationship. 1 year. Never would have thought we were going to make it this far, I have to be honest. Who am I kidding? Two teenagers in love at seventeen seems so silly, but when I'm with FP he makes me feel real. He makes me feel alive. And I'm not just talking about the sex-
She closed the book grossed out. She didn't want to hear her mother talk about her having sex with her boyfriend's dad. She looked in the box and found some other stuff, like necklace's and her old serpent jacket. Her finger traced the serpent on the back. It was a little wore down, but it look good still.
"Betty!" Alice called for her. Betty quickly scrambled putting back her serpent jacket. She looked at the diary in her hands and wanted to read more. She put it in her shirt hoping Alice, wouldn't notice. She turned and saw Alice walking up the attic stairs. "Find anything interesting?"
"I found your old box from high school. Even your serpent jacket and some necklace's." Betty said trying to act normal. She looked down to the box and back to her mother.
Alice was wearing a light blue blouse with dark blue jeans, a bandana in her hair. Her classic cleaning look everytime, since Hal wasn't here anymore. She walked over and saw the box and felt the tears in her eyes. Betty noticed this and smiled.
"I'm going to go." She slowly walked away seeing her mother star struck.
She couldn't believe Hal didn't try to throw it away. She bent down to her the box and sniffled. Maybe she was a little hard on him during their marriage. Maybe he did care for her a little bit. She now wished her was here just so she could thank him. Even though he tried to kill her when she last saw him, but she still loved him deep down.
Betty walked into her room, shutting it behind her. She walked over to her desk, sitting in her chair. She opened the book to a random page. She felt like this book could take forever.
Dear Diary,
It's been hard for me, knowing FP and I broke up. I felt incomplete without him. I couldn't tell him about Charles. I wanted too so badly, but I was afraid that he would push me away and leave me high and dry. I sometimes felt like breaking up with FP was wrong, but maybe there's a chance I did something good? Anway, my father left the trailer leaving me here to live by myself. It's okay, I had Hermione, my girlfriend-
