The Lovesick Fool

This chapter tells the history between you and Suneel.

It wasn't long ago when he first laid his eyes on you; you were perfect; all he could ask for. The way you smiled, laughed, the way you existed was perfect; it was as of a Goddess of Beauty was presented before him. Luck was on his side as you picked him to be your student.

"You must be Suneel Jack, wonderful to finally meet you." His heart skipped a beat, you knew his name.
"Nice to meet you, may I have your name?" Suneel he already knew your name but wanted to keep talking to you. "I'm sorry I should have introduced myself, I'm (Y/n) (L/n), a scouter for Beacon Academy, I would like to offer a training program for students who were exceptional during the entrance exam."

Without hesitation, he took your offer, twice a week you trained him, and everyone was calling him a prodigy. He learned quickly, advancing all you ask of him, all to earn your praise.

He tried any chance he could to be close to you. To him, if there was a chance that you were alone with him, he believed it was a sign that you were meant to be his. He didn't know about your personal life; nobody seemed to know.

He would ask you for help just to get you to spend more time with him, without knowing his feelings and motives you accepted. However, that path was one that you shouldn't have taken.

"Please go out with me." You remembered that spark he had in his eyes when he asked you out.
"Hm?" You pointed at yourself, "Me?" The white-haired boy confidently nodded, "Yes, you have been helping me since I have been here, and after some time, I realize that I can't live without you."

You were hesitant since you didn't want to hurt the young man's feelings, "Oh, I don't know how to put this..."

"I'll protect you and everyone you care about." You weren't a teacher in Beacon Academy, nor you were a student, you were there to assist Ozpin like you always do. Everyone knew who you were but didn't know why you chose to stay at the Academy with minimal work as a huntress. Suneel was a student in his last month before becoming an official Huntsman. He developed all qualities of becoming a proper Huntsman; he was grateful that you were the one to push him to that goal.
"I'm sorry, Suneel. I can't accept your confession."

Hearing this shattered his heart, he didn't know how to react, "I will give you everything; please give me a chance."

"Suneel, you are a great guy, but I can't be with you. I already have someone."
"Tell me what I have to do to have you as mine."

"Suneel, there is nothing to do; my heart belongs to someone else." You say firmly, then make your way to Beacon Tower. Suneel stood still; he didn't move as his mind began to wonder. A question in his head was, 'Who was the one who captivated your heart.'

Ozpin placed a mug of hot chocolate in front of you, "I had the strangest encounter with my student today." You said as you grabbed the cup.
Ozpin smiled, "Strange? How so?"

"Do you remember the student I tutor?" Ozpin sits next to you and nods, "Mr. Jack?" He takes a sip of his coffee.
"Yes, well, he had confessed his feeling to me." Ozpin stays still for a moment but then continued to drink his coffee, "And your response?"
"I told him no."
"No?"

You looked at Ozpin, confused, "Did you want me to say otherwise?" Ozpin places down his mug, "No, I was remembering a talk we had long ago. I'm sure that he will find another, young love doesn't last long."
