FERNANDO'S POV:

We all come back from the dinner and all went our separate ways. Marcus and Genevieve were hanging out, so I went outside to get some fresh air, but I didn't expect to see my mom sitting down on one of the chairs.

"Hey mom" I greeted when I sat down next to her.

"Fernando, can I ask you something" my mom asked me.

"Sure" I answered, curious about what she was going to ask.

"Do you resent me and your father for sending you to live here?" She bluntly asked me.

"Mom, I don't resent you guys. I was just mad and a little hurt with the both of you" I truthfully answered.

"But we didn't do anything to hurt you" She exclaimed.

"Mom, look at from my point of view. You had Greg before you became a fashion designer and dad became a famous agent in Hollywood and you had Kiethie and Becky whike your careers launched, while I was across the country and away from my parents. You offered me to buy expensive gifts because the both of you were to busy for me, but I gave them back because all I wanted was at least one conversation a day with the both of you, but the both of you barely called" I explained.

"Then why didn't you come live with us when we asked you in your junior year?" My mom asked.

"Three reasons. The first reason is that I wanted my grandparents who practically raised me and stayed up with me, doing homework, see me graduate and become the person they raised me to be. The second reason is that I was mad at the both of you for asking me to live with you when I am a year away from graduating, so I stayed to prevent from me resenting the both of you. The last reason is Genevieve and Marcus, they were the family I needed and were cheering for me at sporting events when my grandparents weren't able to come" I answered, which made my mom tear up.

"I'm sorry for not paying enough attention to you when you were growing up" My mom apologized.

"I'm sorry for losing my temper on you" I apologized.

The both of us got up from my seat and we hugged.

I'm happy we're going on the right direction.
