^Delilah's PoV^

{24 Hours Later}

It had been quite the whirlwind of a day. Considering I'd only just been discharged from hospital, and now I was going through airport security getting ready to fly off on an impromptu holiday. With the love of my life.

Little did he know, packed away in my suitcase was a little box, and inside that little box was a ring.

I showed my passport and walked through the metal detector and even though I knew it wouldn't go off, I was relieved when I got the all clear. It was just one of those things, my poker face was never great in airports.

We were sitting my the departures gate finally, our flight was due to leave in an hour and a half, Frankie and I had decided that we wanted to be early. To have some time to grab some dinner, since the hospital food hadn't been great, and the fact that we hadn't had a meal together properly out since we'd come back from Afghan had swayed our decision.

"Babe, you know I love you so much." I said as we traveled through the stuffed animal section of the Duty Free part of the airport. Frankie wanted to get something for his sister and I wanted to get the lads a massive Toblerone each. So they'd quit saying I never got them anything.

"Yes? I love you too." He asked turning to me, and I was holding a stuffed koala, and I giggled as he rolled his eyes at me and I reached out to kiss him.

"Can I have him?" I asked, fluttering my eyelashes, and I pouted too for good measure.

Frankie pulled me close to him and he kissed my forehead.

"I'll get you anything you want babe, I promise you I'll treat you like a princess. Now let's go pay and find somewhere to eat." Frankie took my hand, and I swear I'll never get over the feeling of his fingers interlocking with my own, it sounds stupid and so cheesy but it's like our hands fit together like two pieces of a puzzle.

I paid the lady who was stood behind the till, and then we were on our way, and I was still holding onto the koala.

"What're you going to call him?" Frankie asked me, we had settled on Pizza Express, mainly because I loved the garlic dough balls, and who didn't love pizza?

I turned to the little koala that I'd perched in the seat next to me and looked back at Frankie.

"Elvis." I said, my heart skipping a beat as I said his name, despite what people say, there's no way in hell it gets easier.

"Fancy that though, your brother would be well chuffed, I named a koala after him, maybe he'll get a look in when we have kids." Frankie said and I stopped, looking directly at him.

"You wants kids?" I said, my brain in stupid mode. The words had tumbled out of my mouth without warning.

Frankie looked up at me, and he had nothing but love in his eyes, and I knew that he loved me so much.

"Of course I want kids El, I want a whole family with you. There is no one else, you and me. You're never getting rid of me." He reached over and his hand covered my own, and I didn't realise I was shaking until the trembling stopped.

"I do too, I'm sorry...its just no one has ever stuck around as long as you have. You've made me feel so special, and so loved and I just guess I thought my luck would run out soon. My last name is Harte. My luck will always run out." I closed my eyes, feeling the prickly sting of tears threatening to fall.
