Silence hung in the air as tension flared between Gal and Obi-Wan.

It had been almost six months since they had been in the same room, let alone been on the same planet, but Gal had requested that he be there for the birth of her children; he was one of the only people she knew she could trust at the end of the day.

It was a massive shock to everyone involved when Gal was told she was having twins, to which she found out during her seventh month of pregnancy. She knew it would only make things harder for her when she had to say goodbye to them.

Bail and Breha had been more than kind to Gal and Harley during their stay on Alderaan. They had given the two a small place to stay in the mountains that was more than fancy enough for them both, and everyday they would make sure to check in on them with a team of medical droids to keep an eye on the babies.

Harley and Gal had grown closer to the point Gal bestowed the duty of naming one of the babies onto her once they were born. Gal had spent several months trying to convince Harley to stay on Alderaan once the children were there, but she was relentless on the idea of following her to wherever she ended up, but nobody knew where that was going to be.

Unfortunately whilst everyone was getting ready for the birth of the twins, they had received the grave news that Padmè had been killed in the recent event's on Coruscant, a result of an assassination over a political debate. Everyone expected Gal to collapse in hysterics, but she was so numb and exhausted, she couldn't wrap her head around it all. Even now, whilst she laid in the silent medical room, she denied the event's that had taken place and chose to ignore them.

One lasting relationship that had been on the rocks was between Obi-Wan and Gal. Gal hadn't forgiven Obi-Wan for pursuing Anakin on Mustafar and she knew it was going to take a lot more than a simple apology to forgive him.

The medical room was silent as Gal glanced at Obi-Wan, who was sitting in a chair and staring out the window, seemingly deep in thought. She knew he didn't sleep much following the recent event's of the Jedi Purge, because neither did she, and although there was a small part that will forever remain angry towards him, she was concerned for him.

"Will you be honest with me, Obi-Wan?" She asked him, her hands placed on top of her stomach. Obi-Wan looked at her and nodded before going back to looking out the window. "Did you really kill Anakin?" She asked quietly.

She watched him tense briefly before he turned in his chair to face her, one leg crossed over the other. "From what I know, Gal, he was still alive when I left. But it's not Anakin. It's Vader. I do hope you know this," he spoke quietly, as if he was unsure about disturbing the peace.

Gal did feel guilty for Obi-Wan. She knew how hard it must have been to confront Anakin on Mustafar. Anakin was his brother, his best friend. It would have been no easy task and Gal knew she had been completely unfair to him for the past six months by ignoring him, but she hadn't forgiven him for it. No yet.

"Obi-Wan, I have on last request before we go our separate ways... Would you please accompany me to Tatooine?" She asked, understanding it was an incredibly heavy task, "I wish to take one of the twins to their aunt and uncle."

But he didn't hesitate in nodding with a small smile.

"Of course," he said softly.
