"what,why???",ohm gets a lot of questions for Xian. "Sean...called me....one week ago.....he said....he is coming California and will stay with his father...for two weeks"xian answers,"I asked him why suddenly coming here? He told me Lan...is coming here to study MBA in Stanford Graduate School of Business, sean has to come with him as his...caretaker, so....before he starts... working he....wants to spend time with us".
"I see,so....when are they coming ?",ohm asks. "They...are coming next week,they will come together and part ways from airport,Sean will come to stay with us and lan...he is gonna stay at an apartment near Stanford University"xian says.
"Hmm ok.....but why is that boy coming to Stanford?"ohm continues mumbling to himself,"He could have chosen other schools,it's not like there is a single business school in the whole world".
Xian hears his mumbles and reminds him,"ohm don't forget Stanford GSB is world's number one business school , everyone in business stream dreams of studying there".
"Hmm makes sense for the one and only son of president of The Xiao Empire ",ohm responds.
"He is not coming here based on his father's money or resources,you yourself are a student of Stanford GSB,you should know they don't take students based on money,but on talent",xian says,"he has gone through an exchange scholarship from Renmin University".
"Ah that boy really have talent in business.....but....how do you know xian?",ohm probes.
"Sean...told me",xian answers.
"Hmm Sean is really a good spy you know",ohm smiles.
",Stop it ohm ,Sean is not my spy,I saved his life once and he and his father no matter what I say wants to repay that so called debt,so he"....
"So he does this voluntarily even to the point of staying in Beijing without his dear father ,right?",Xian's words gets cut off by ohm,"aish....xian ,you have said this soooo many times,that I have memorized it"ohm smirks.
"It's serious ohm",xian gets slightly angered."but ultimately what he does there is more of a spying than being 'his' caretaker,isn't it?"ohm says"but I.."xian wants to protest ,"yeah yeah.... I know you never asked but you never stopped him either,did you? do you...really not want those news....of your lan?"
Xian is silenced .Yeah he never stopped Sean from sending those news and to some extent every day he really awaits for lan's news,his lan,whom he can never meet.
"Ohm, I....I am....I am afraid,I still have my name in the hall of fame of Stanford University,he....will know about me",xian says after some time.
"What are you afraid of xian?that he will know you were here once?",ohm asks,"I.. I"xian can't say anything. Ohm says again,"you only studied here xian,moreover it was in medical faculty,hall of fame contains you name,not your address or any other details,what will he do with that information,he definitely won't use his father's source to search for you and above all you stay at Los Angeles now,he won't find you ,don't worry".
With ohm's assurance xian calms a little. Suddenly he smiles,more like a...mocking smile,"ohm....back then I... I was sent here because I was not 'worthy' of that kid",xian emphasised on worthy,"but now that I am worthy of him,I still can't be with him,I can never meet him,don't you think it's ironic?"
