After crying for some time,xian finally gets hold on his tears. He quickly wipes his face with the back of his hand. And takes a deep breath. He didn't come out to leave ,he just didn't want to cry in front of lan,because if he does lan will start crying again. And it will be a mess.

So finally calming himself down , Xian enters the room.

Lan was sitting on his bed blank faced. But when xian enters his room again,he lifts his face and is kinda confused. "Why are you here again?didn't you say you can't stay with me and left?why back again?",lan snaps at xian. He is tired of this hide and seek game.

"Who told you I left?did you see me leaving?I just went out to......ca....calm myself down",xian stutters in the last part. It's embarrassing for him to say this loud. "I said I can't stay with you for now,didn't say that I am leaving you again",he comes near lan and sits beside him,"I works at Los Angeles,so can't stay at Stanford. You will be studying here. How are we gonna stay with each other?",xian half lies. It's not completely wrong but not completely true too. He knows a certain someone will spy on lan's every move.

Lan is ignorant but he knowing everything can't help but be cautious. When Sean will come next week he will instruct him about everything so that he and lan can at least get to meet each other regularly.

On the other side ,when xian is busy thinking all these lan being a complete oblivious person to all things becomes dumbfounded,"Huh,so that's why you said you can't stay with me again ?"lan asks.

"Yes fool,what other reason can there be",xian answers with smile,"then.....can you forgive me now a-lan,please?",he asks again.

"......",lan remains silent for a while,it's been a long time he is being addressed as 'a-lan' ,after he speaks up,"no".

Xian is shocked. He feels very hurt,"why lan ,I am sorry please,I never meant to hurt you, leaving you I also got pained for all these time,can you not forgive your gege,please lan",saying this xian rises up and kneels in front of lan ,"if you don't forgive me ,I am gonna kneel like this".

Lan is pained to see his gege like this,he immediately rushes to him and kneels together. Holding his shoulder he speaks", xian ge listen to me first and let me complete my words. I said I won't forgive you if you don't promise me to not leave again. And if you leaves again I am never gonna show mercy on you for the second time . Now rise up please".

Hearing his words xian got astonished. He can't control himself anymore. He hugs lan on kneeling position and starts shedding tears. Lan was stunned at first but slowly returns the hug.

Sometimes words are not necessary to show your emotions and give your answers but a silent action is much more impactful. Just like that,here, one simple hug from xian gives a silent confirmation to his promise to lan.

They stays like that for a long time before pulling away. Wiping each other's tears they rises up holding hands and sits on the bed again. A soothingly silence prevails between them.

Finally xian speaks up,"a-lan , I... I promise you I won't leave you again. Whatever befalls us we are gonna face them together. We will never be separated. can you forgive me now?".

"I have long forgiven you, actually I never was mad at you in the first place,ge",lan says smiling,"I wanted to hate you but never could bring myself to do that. Everyone told me you left because you never loved me,you used me for money,but I never could believe those bullshit,until I saw you with Kao Hsu. I assumed things by myself. Sorry for that too. I should have listened to your explanation.".
