Nannav, the Protector

Khushi started enquiring for Anjaliji to reveal Shyam's truth to her and she also wanted to inform Arnav about Shyam's betrayal as she believed in Arnav that he will take care of everything. But Arnav was nowhere to be found and Anjali was busy with puja for her husband. Khushi didn't remember much of her childhood, except for her parents- Arjun and Shanti. She didn't even remember her family name but remembers her parents and her "Nanav" who always protected her when her parents aren't around and put her to sleep whenever her parents are late to return home. She even played with his friends who came for sleepovers or to study together. She is getting such protective vibes from ASR, so she wanted to tell him the truth about Shyam, how he forced her for engagement and how she recently found out that he's already married to Anjaliji and that she never knew about it. Presently Khushi only had her Babuji who adopted her after her parents murder and Payal jiji who took care of her whenever possible as they were mostly busy. Khushi remembered how her parents were murdered brutally with the help of a truck, when her father threw her from the car's window. She remembered that her father wasn't killed in the accident, and how the truck driver killed him by breaking his neck. She then found herself in an orphanage after 1 week where she stayed for almost an year precisely to be 11 months before her Babuji adopted her. Khushi was lost and absentmindedly walking when Shyam sees her and starts to come towards her, but she was saved in the nick of time by mami who had been observing Khushi walking deep in thought and was reminded of Shanti Priya Di. She did observe that Khushi reminded her a lot of Shanti Priya, the owner of Shantivan but she didn't know that Khushi was infact Shanti Priya's own daughter.

In the meanwhile Anjali came towards Khushi trying to detangle her mangalsutra from her hair, failing terribly. She greeted Khushi, and started complaining that her mangalsutra got tangled in her hair, which she is trying to detangle and that she will talk to Khushi in a few minutes as soon as she detangles it. Meanwhile Arnav enters Shantivan and asks HP for a strong coffee, he feels that Khushi is nearby, and he understands that Khushi might have wanted to expose Shyam to his Di and he sits there to watch how it unfolds and to support his Khushi and his Di, when they needed help. As Anjali tries to detangle and pulls slightly, her mangalsutra broke and is splattered across the floor. Anjali is shocked to core? and starts crying as if her life is at stake. She asks Khushi if her husband would be okay, but Khushi is stunned to see Anjaliji behave this way. Anjali calls Shyam to ask about his whereabouts and if he's fine, then calls a pandit to ask what all pujas are to be done for her husband's safety and got busy in doing that, whereas Arnav is stumped to see his Di behave in that way. Arnav understands that he has to tread carefully with his moves around Di and let her start doubting Shyam, which is a very difficult task as she worships her husband. Arnav starts toward his room when he hears Khushi mumble "Nannav save me". Arnav was extremely happy hearing the word nannav from Khushi and now he's almost sure that Khushi is his Khush baby and he needs to prove it with her DNA Test. Arnav goes to his room and makes a few calls to check Khushi's background and conduct a DNA test for Khushi and he needs to talk to Payal before  anything else. He's determined and calls Akash, and tells him that they need to talk to Payal, so inform her the same that they should meet in the eve & talk. Meanwhile Khushi comes to Arnav's room to tell him the truth, goes to him saying that she needs to tell him the truth of Shyam but was not able to talk. She hugs Arnav's arm and cries herself out unable to talk. Arnav was taken aback, seats himself on the couch and makes Khushi sit in his lap. He makes Khushi drink some water, keeps rubbing Khushi's back till she is calm and is amused to find that Khushi fell asleep in his arms. He smiles to himself and makes Khushi lie on the couch, holds her hands and promises to protect her. Khushi falls into deep slumber holding Arnav's hand, while Arnav gets an important call. Arnav goes towards the pool area to take the call, whereas Khushi wakes up with a jerk. Khushi goes downstairs to get going to her home, but was stopped by Anjali who apologises to Khushi and asks her what Khushi wanted to talk to her. Meanwhile Arnav not finding Khushi in his room goes downstairs. As Khushi was not able to talk, she tells Anjaliji it's nothing and apologises if she ever hurt her. Anjali hugs Khushi and asks what happened and sees that Khushi is silent, but notices that Khushi's engagement ring is missing and asks her if she lost her engagement ring again. But Khushi replies that she broke her engagement. Anjaliji asks her what happened and then Arnav who was listening to their conversation, tells his Di that Khushi broke her engagement because that the 44 year old fiancé of Khushi was already married to a beautiful woman for 3 years now and that he forcefully wanted to marry Khushi against her wishes, so he hurt Khushi's adoptive father when he's alone at home and very smoothly blackmailed Khushi's family that Shashi was terminally sick and got engaged to Khushi forcibly without any proofs of engagement. But the neighbors can identify the pg Shyam as many people saw him staying at buaji's home for a while.
