"Ahhh," I yelled as, again, I lost my balance and fell from the top. "RIA, COME HERE," the coach yelled. I walked over to her and looked at her. "Ria, what happened, did my child do something," she asked. She was Parkers mom. I told her everything, even what Chloe said this morning. She hugged me and told me to take the rest of practice off. I walk home and put my cheer things away before laying down on my bed.
Chloe's words echoed in my head for hours and now it's almost dinner time. Mom came down here at around 4:30 when she got home from one of her adventures to down town. She saw me and knew I needed privacy so she set the bags of stuff she got me down and left the room. "Ree, Mom told me to come get you, it's dinner time," Rogen said, walking into my room. "Ria, I'm really sorry for what happened the other day." He said quietly. I shook my head and walked past him.
I didn't make eye contact with with of my brothers throughout dinner and tried to avoid as much conversation as possible. With my parents bickering about Aunt Allie coming to stay with us and my brothers whispering, avoiding conversation was easy. "You're going on a stupid trip anyway! What's it to you if Allie comes!" My mom yelled across the table at my dad. I looked at my dad. His jaw was clenched and you could see the anger in his eyes from the disrespect from my mom, but he would never yell, or even raise his voice the slightest to her. "I just don't want her here because she moves everything so when we walk around we run into things. Remember when the kids were babies and she stayed here? I almost dropped Rogen when I ran in to the couch." My dad responded as calm as he could. I looked over at my brothers. 'So that's why you are the way you are Rogen!' I said through mind link. He glared at me and Ryder was trying so hard not to laugh.
I poured the bag of stuff onto my bed when we finished dinner. "ARE YOU SAYING YOU HATE MY SISTER, SHAWN!?" I heard my mom yell. They were still going at it about Aunt Allie. They have this conversation every time she comes over, and every time, mom wins.
