»What a surprise.« you heard Steve's voice and you immediately turned around to him.
When you were new to the Avengers, you immediately noticed Steve. Unfortunately you had to admit that you had fallen in love with him from day one.
»Why?« you asked and took out two small dumbbells to train with. »You always train with Romanoff.« »She's on a mission with Bruce. Just because she's gone, I don't let my training whiz.« did you mean monotonous and started lifting them.
You got the impression that Steve didn't like you very much. Whenever you had a question about a mission, he ignored you or said that you should ask someone else. It's alright, thanks anyways!« the line immediately separated and you shook your head smiling.
»What an idiot...« »Your boyfriend?« You looked at Steve in surprise. You wouldn't have expected the question from him, of all people. »No...it was Peter. He wanted to know if Happy was around me..« did you mean truthfully. »May I ask why you're asking me this question Rogers?« »Can I don't ask?« he asked with his eyebrow raised, whereupon you bite your lip. »Why are you so interested in this topic..?« Annoyed he looked at you and went to his bag to take a towel. »I'm interested. Then I'm out of this team faster than you can watch! Then you have one less team member to defeat Thanos!« so you went through the door and let it hit loudly.
Steve sighed loudly when he saw you walk away. He didn't always want to come across as hated, but there was no other way around you. You fascinated him so much that sometimes he had to fight for himself to avoid falling at you to kiss you. »Fuck..« he murmured and punched into the punching bag seconds later.
