...King Boreal's POV...

I left the room, my head high. I refused to show weakness to the old hag, she was merely an annoyance in my eyes. Nonetheless, I want to slit her throat when she became useless to me. I swam through the dark, musty waters of the servants tunnels, the stone walls lined with algae. I didn't like swimming in such putrid water but it was where the witch belonged. I emerged into a grand hall, my pale red eyes pierced through the water like a knife. My royal mark sat proudly on my chest, people weren't exactly modest around the kingdom. Clothes were heavy and unnecessary, woman typically only covered their breasts and sensitive areas with a loose cloth. While men wore a Shaw over their low halves. The only reason why people would cover anymore was the were aged or hiding there rankings in society.

I swam down the halls to my garden wear my lover was most of her time, she had long lilac hair, deep blue eyes (which was quite uncommon) , and her skin was a beautiful light peach. She sat on the sea grass, her webbed hands gently grazing over the sea-anemones. "How is your search coming, darling?" She looked over at me, a small smile on her lips. I sighed and swam next to her.
"She is yet to be found, the witch is being difficult." I say looking down at her, around this woman I was not the dominating force. She was far more fearsome then I, if she wished you dead you'd be so. The woman knew her place as my second half and she when she was to act and not.
"What can you expect, it is her grand-child we are after." She stood to her feet with a graceful little push, I wrapped an arm around her waist. "If it was mine, I'd do the same." She spoke nothing but truth and I hated it, I wanted this to end and the heart of the child in my hand.
"Do you think the child will return here?" I inquired wanting her opinion on the matter, I believe it possible.
"I wouldn't doubt it, the girl seems to be smart and she has shone she can be quite hard to catch. For all we truly know she could have masked her power and hidden among our ranks." She said leaning on my chest, her hand gently grabbing my biceps.

I considered the thought, we didn't know how well she had learned to use her power. Any skill she possess was unknown to the archives, the girl was sentence to death. "What exactly do we know about this girl?" I asked rhetorically, she pulled away and looked up at me, my hand dropping from her hip.
"Well, Water Manipulation... even down to the cells in a living being. That's basically it, we should've tested her or made her a mindless weapon of our own." She thought Aloud to herself, I rolled my eyes a little.
"Hold your tongue, that girl is as stubborn as her failure of a father. That man did nothing but cause issues within our people, he was branded in the lava vents a criminal." I growled out, my fist tightening.
"And of her mother? I never heard of the witches daughter." My wife said sitting in a small wooden bench, pushing her hair behind her.
"That woman was dabbler in the currant shifting, mere novice at her age. Nothing extraordinary, she had the marks of a middle class and teacher. If I recall correctly she was a clear palate, she had very pale, almost white skin, her eyes white, along with her hair." I replied thinking deeply on the matter.
"If I didn't know you better I'd think you were infatuated with her." She smirked knowingly, her dark eyes shifting to the plants.
"I'd never seen someone with such small amount of pigment, typically they have some color." I sighed slightly.
"You are quite colorful, pale red eyes, an light yellow skin, striking orange hair." She smirked a little looking at my features.
"You flatter me, truly. I do wish this tiresome game of cat and mouse would end." I go to leave, she speaks before I do.
"Just don't let her be the cat, Eero." She said softly.
"Don't worry about me, Darya."

We spent no more time with one another, we had duties to attend to of each our own. I swam back to my throne room, and sat upon it. My eyes glance down to the symbols of our gods, four giant symbol stared back at me. One was the goddess of fertility, Ashanti, she sat facing north towards the future. The one at her right, the god of luck and war, Leofric. One across from his was the goddess of skill, Niani. And lastly was the symbol that faced south, the god of death, Amir. He was to remind not forget the people who have pasted and to live your life in memory of them.

The door opened as a woman swam in, she was not someone I recognized. Her golden hair was pulled into a ponytail and she had a tale rather then legs, she looked to be in her early teens. It was not uncommon from a person to have a tale, anymore. It was 20% of the population at this point. "What do you need, child?" I asked in a more asserting voice.
"A terrible s-storm is coming, my King! It will be here in a few days!" She spoke out of breath.
"What type of storm, young Teller?" She was clearly a Teller, it was a position on which you could see future storms and tragedies to help prepare the city for whatever was coming.
"It was c-currents turning against their routes, c-colliding with the w-walls of the castle!" She breathed out quickly, I stood and she lowered herself.
"Where did the current collide?" I swam over to here, she kept her head down, but did not move back.
"The north-end, your Highness." She answered softly, 'Ashanti end' I think to myself.
"Are you positive, child?" My voice coming out a little more threatening then I wished.
"Y-yes." I hummed in response and swam back to my throne.
"Thank you, you are dismissed."

After she swam off I began to ponder, 'she'll arrive soon then, in three days time I'll have her head.'
