Chapter 4; Past Vs Present

I walk into town, a cape on my shoulders, hood pulled up to hide my features. Jumble sat on my shoulder, tweeting, I had no idea where I was. All I knew was that this city could bring upon a new beginning for me. I walk down the street of this new area, my eyes looking at both small and large homes, the stoned streets were filled with people chatting and doing work. I walked by people of all ages, I turned down an alley to avoid too many glances. Jumble moved to nuzzle against my neck to rest, like he normally did. I pull my hood down and looked up and around, my white eyes lock onto a large castle. A crest of two pegasuses on both sides of the sword, an upside down crown on the bottom. I decided remember every detail about the crest. I push my hair to the side and look around more. My white eyes glancing to a small booth, I walk over to the booth and see food displayed.

I stop at the booth and looked over the selection, 'I could steal this and run.' I think, my old self breaking through. "Miss? Are you blind?" I look over at him, making his attention stay on my eyes.
"No I'm not." I shook my head, while my left hand grabs an apple; slipping it in my satchel.
"Oh well, are you interested in buying anything?" He gestured to the assortment of foods.
"I'm just looking." Smiling a little, looking again.
"May I ask, why are your eyes white?"
"I don't know." I shrug looking back up, "well, I have to get going but first, what's the name of this city?"
"Oh, well your in Kingdom of Lyonesse, Miss. you just traveled in, I assume."
"I did, I came from the far southwest." I nod a little.
"Oh did you come from another kingdom?"
"I suppose you could say that, I should get going, bye."

We part and I walk further in and eat the apple, thinking where I'm supposed to be sleeping tonight. I hear a loud shout and I look behind me, a man with a sword through his chest above a small child. My eyes widen, people were silent. No one could be seen, memories of red falling in the water. I stood there frozen, staring at this death. Death that follows me... lurks around me at all times. The world faded to a blur as I stared at the scene, I watched as the child cried, grabbing his hand. Guards came over pulling the child away and cleaning up the scene, I snap back to reality as a voice talks to me. "Who knew a wife could be that mad?" I quickly look over seeing the bar kid from before.
"W-what?" His words not sinking in.
"Well, she was trying to kill the girl but he jumped in front and died." He sighs I little.
"How could a mother do that!?" Rage flickering in my soul, "that's her own daughter."
"I don't know, you'd have to ask her. Do you have a place to sleep?" He asked, changing the subject.
"No I don't."
"Great! This way!"

He takes through the woods to his bar, where a gaunt slept outside. He walks by and I see a white haired male sitting at the Bar talking to a pig, a long haired girl talking to a pink haired male. "Hey everyone, this is the girl I was talking about." Everyone looked over and I saw a boy float in on a pillow as well. "(Y/N) this is Ban, King, Gowther, Hawk, and Elizabeth." He said pointing to one at a time, "and Diane is the one sleeping outside." I nod, 'where we're they when we first met?' I think, waving at them.
"Nice to meet you all." I say as Jumble tweeted into my ear, I gently pick him up and roll eyes a little.
"They were all here in Lyonesse when I met you, I was just going to get some supplies." I nod a little.

I spent a long time talking with them and started to get to know them all, part of me favored Ban carefree attitude, put Diane's gentleness also was intriguing to me. I understood why they got along so well, they fit in well together all caring their own baggage... like I was. "Your not human are you?" I heard, snapping back into reality. I look at Ban, he wasn't even looking at me.
"I- uh..." I didn't know how to answer, I wasn't technically a human, I was a child of the sea. I belonged under the ocean, but could I tell him that?
"I can tell, and you're almost white eyes are dead giveaway. But I've never met a creature like you so, what are you?" His head tilts in my direction giving me a curios glare. I crack.
"I'm not human, my kind isn't well-known at all actually." I mumble looking at the immortal. 
"Then what are you?" My eyes darted to the side, my fist tightening and the urge to run, like I've done all my life came back. "Meliodas said you glow, sounds cool, I won't say anything if you don't want me tell." He shrugged, "or don't tell me, doesn't really matter to me." I nod and walk away, walking straight for the door.

I get outside seeing Diane, she sat looking up at the sky, I sit down on the grass. Jumble flew around in and out of the trees, enjoying the fresh air. I watch him weaving around in the air, I slight smile spreads across my lips. Diane suddenly picks me up, I yelp and look at her. She was studying me for a second, "you have pretty eyes." She said and put me back down, I stood there looking at her.
"Thank you." I gave a small smile. I look o we at the sky and see the sun starting to disappear into the horizon, I yawn a little. I started to feel my dry skin getting worse, I walk into the woods.
"HEY, where are you going!?" She shouts are me, I wave a little and Jumble follows me, flying above me.

I walk deep into the wood looking for a lake of some kind, I couldn't see any light at this point besides my own. I eventually find one and remove my shoes and cloak, I walk into the water. My skin feeling better immediately, I swim into the deepest point and create a clean bubble of water, pushing the slime and dirty to the side, leaving a perfect place to sit and rest. I sit down crossing my legs, I breath in deeply; then out. Releasing my wall that holds my power back. Water starts to swirl around me, I push the water like my own being. I hear every creature in the water swim around panicking, retreating to there homes. The water lights up (F/C) matching my glowing eyes and skin, I closed my eyes tightly. The blood in every creature touching the water... touching me, I felt coursing through their bodies.

I hear a loud snap outside of the lake, vibrating the water a little. I jet out of the water, landing on the water, that now had a high density. My wall wasn't back up making my power dangerously untamed, I see King floating behind a tree. I walk off the lake, "King." I slight growl left my throat without thinking, he came out with a straight face.
