"Hey, hey Kate?" a soft familiar voice whispered, touching my shoulder gently.
"Mmm sleep." I rolled away.
"C'mon you don't wanna be here when she wakes up hungover." the person refused to give up.
I opened my eyes to see a messy looking Maggie. Her golden hair had been sloppily thrown into a bun on the very top of her head and her sparkly gray halter was wrinkled.
Damn.
She's one of those girls who looks beautiful as a mess. The kind you just wanna wrap your arms around and tell them to relax.
"All right, lets get out of here." I nodded groggily, and jumped onto the floor with a thud.
"SHhhh!" Maggie hissed at the same time I muttered and "Oh shit."
I slid my feet into my Hurley flip flops and checked my phone for the time.
Ten a.m.
No new messages of missed calls from Kelly by the way.
I mean in case you were wondering.
But who's counting?
Me...
But that's beside the point!
"Sorry to wake you up, Cat can be a real bitch with a hangover though so I thought I'd spare you." she told me, closing the door.
"Yeah, thanks. I would've woken up in a little bit anyways." I shrugged as we walked down the hall.
Fuck I need coffee.
Bad.
Isn't there a cafe around this bitch somewhere?
"Still, you looked sorta cute sleeping." Maggie immediately blushed and looked away.
Um?
Excuse me?
"Is that coffee place open?" I changed the subject.
"Yeah, you want some?" she asked as we exited the dorm building.
"Please. Coffee is my fuel." I nodded a yes.
As we approached the coffee shop, my phone rang.
"Hey gorgeous." I answered, a smile on my face.
I feel the need to put on my brightest smile for Kelly, even though she can't see it.
"Hey baby, you're up?" Kelly sounded sincerely surprised.
"Yes, smartass, I'm up." I frowned at Kelly as Maggie held the door open for me.
"I was'nt being a smart ass, I was just asking a reasonable question!" Kelly said defensively.
"Reasonable on what grounds?" I smirked.
"On the grounds that you're never up before ten when you have a choice and you went to a party last night." she explained in her motherly voice.
"Listen baby, I gotta go we're about to order coffee, call you in a bit kay?" I laughed and rolled my eyes at how well she knows me.
"Mmmkay boo." I could amost see her soft smile as she pressed the 'end call' button.
"You're girlfriend?" Maggie said, like it was news to her.
Oh I see how it is.
They told her I was playing for the right team, but not that I was taken.
Cool guys, cool.
